The core appeal of Willy Wonka is that he's a nigh-omnipotent maniac who uses his near limitless powers over reality to trick shitty people into killing themselves. You can't make him the protagonist of a whimsical coming of age tale - you have to treat him like Jason Voorhees, or Dracula, or any other horror icon. Give him some new victims and new interesting kills and set him loose, that's all audiences want.

So I had some apricot stilton (which is stilton, a mild crumbly white cheese, with dried apricots in it) left over from making a cheese plate and I used it for grilled cheese sandwiches and this is to tell you that you should totally make sweet cheese grilled cheese sandwiches with hot mustard on them.
not quite the same, but in the vein of "grilled cheese with fruit involved," i used to go to a game store/cafe that had a grilled cheese sandwich that used brie and very thinly-sliced granny smith apples and it was amazing, highly recommend
This is also a good time to recommend my pear, cheddar, and balsamic vinegar grilled cheese.
I used to go to a cafe that did an incredible non-grilled croissants with cheese-and-apple toppings and I need to try to recreate that.
But I don't know what it might have had as a spread under the cheese. I feel like something with a strong flavour might be needed... Would mustard be good or does that only go if its a grilled sandwich type thing?
Mustard would probably be good but also maybe a nice vinegar and oil mix or a salad dressing you like.

I'm no chump I check the last couple digits of UPC codes to make sure a product matches its supposed label on the shelf
I think the grocery store decided that it's acceptable to face shelves by covering the spaces for out of stock items with other items yet NOT bother to update any price tags cause most of the shit I looked at today did not match the product listed on the tag or its price. this was the case in multiple aisles. I got fed up and left without getting some stuff I needed. I'm not buying shit without knowing how much it costs.
