Um, no. What you failed to mention here has to be the single most important thing about human beings.

You pass by a homeless man on the street and might not give him anything, but if your bff calls and says they need 10 bucks, and theyre so sorry, but they don’t have enough money to buy baby formula, you’d cough up ten bucks that ten seconds ago you did not have.

It is EASY to be nice to the people you love. It is NOT EASY to treat people you dislike the same as you would the people you like. The measure of a (wo)man is NOT how they treat those they consider equal, but how they treat those they do NOT consider equal. James Potter was a bully to everyone he thought was less than him. THAT is the measure of James Potter. Because guess what, Charles Manson treated his followers with the utmost respect because he liked them. Those less than him were murdered. Which do you judge him on? James Potter may not have been a murderer, but he was an asshole and a bully. You do not gloss over that by saying he was a hero to the people he loved because that’s easy to do and takes no effort.

He hated Snape and everything he stood for yet James saved his life. And even James Potter at his worst (aka being a prat when he was fifteen only to later grow out of it) does not cancel out his good qualities.And you are entirely mistaken about him not “giving” to the homeless stranger in your analogy. He joined the Order of the Phoenix, a group dedicated to save lives and fight for the rights of many. There are plenty of characters who deserve all of this disdain, many of which are considered essentially “good” and who have at some point done something extremely cruel, but James Potter is not one of them.

here’s the essay. most anti-nazi punks do not give a single fuck about jewish/roma people. in fact, they threaten us when we speak up about how the way theyre handling being anti-nazi actually hurts us. they are not anti-nazi for us.

for example: the crossed out swastika patch. widely used by goyim, widely hated by jewish/roma punks. super triggering for jewish/roma people! i don’t want to see a hate symbol widely used in my spaces!!

Cho Chang deserved better. This poor girl was so happy and carefree (and a great quidditch player) and she gets this wonderful boyfriend who is like the darling of the school and then he gets freaking murdered and his dead body dropped in front of the whole school (plus visitors). Then she enters a HORRIBLE year of school with a professor who is hellbent on making the students miserable and harasses them! Then she connects to Harry and finally feels a sliver of hope because she knows that Harry knew Cedric and so she thinks he’ll be open to talk about things and maybe they can heal together? She even feels attracted to him and likes him? But then he gets uncomfortable with talking about Cedric and doesn’t want to talk about it anymore and that connection is suddenly closed off! And then she gets to be a part of this secret group who are learning to defend themselves, but the friend she brought along (who she trusted) breaks her trust and betrays everyone and now Cho is like enemy no.1 and everyone blames her! And then she’s barely mentioned for the rest of the series?!?! I just want to give this poor girl a hug!

When people get mad at her for crying it pisses me off so much. This poor girl went through so much, she has the right to emotions and sadness over her dead boyfriend
