@torchickentacos yes all of this is correct. students had been protesting in the public area of the library (where the school has previously allowed right-wing christians to preach and harass students without interfering) since 5:30pm, and they were sounding off tornado sirens periodically.
they used tear gas and other methods to try to disperse the protesters. as far as i’m aware no one has died due to the police brutality. videos were posted on twitter HERE.
