WARNING! do NOT kiss lizards!

the united states center for disease control and prevention (CDC) has issued a warning against cuddling and smooching bearded dragons due to an outbreak of salmonella associated with pet reptiles. even healthy and clean looking bearded dragons can be carrying salmonella in their droppings, which easily spreads to their body, and then leaves salmonella germs anywhere they touch or roam. those contaminated poop germs can then infect humans.

the CDC advises against reptiles as pets for those under 5 years old or above 65 years old, and anyone with a weakened immune system.

to reduce chance of infection: do not eat or drink near a bearded dragon. make sure to wash hands every single time after touching a bearded dragon. keep reptiles away from young children and places where food and drink are prepared or consumed. keep your reptile's enclosure clean, but do NOT clean supplies in the kitchen or anywhere food is eaten or prepared.

people taking stomach acid reducers are more likely to be infected with salmonella.

a salmonella infection can cause painful long-term disability. while most salmonella infections do not require antibiotics, salmonella germs are developing antibiotic resistance and severe infections are becoming more difficult to treat. some of the salmonella germs involved in this outbreak are resistant to ciprofloxacin, a type of antibiotic used in the treatment of salmonella.

taking ciprofloxacin can also cause painful long-term disability, by the way. the safest option is to avoid salmonella altogether, and to stay informed about antibiotic safety. seriously, cipro can fuck you up BAD.

[ID: a drawing of Cecil, Carlos and Esteban from Welcome to Night Vale. Carlos is on the right. He is carrying Esteban, a toddler, while Cecil, from the left, is leaning in to kiss Esteban's cheek.

Cecil has light brown skin and straight long dark brown hair which is loose around his shoulders. He is wearing a yellow vest with exaggerated shoulder pads and pink and blue stripes. Underneath the vest is a sweater with many different multicoloured stripes and patterns. He is also wearing a pair of board shorts printed with an image of an isopod. Underneath the shorts are a pair of blue, shark-patterned leggings. He is wearing a pair of slippers that look like lobsters.

Esteban has light brown skin and curly, short brown hair. He is wearing a light blue shirt with a picture of a fish with legs, and khaki shorts.

Carlos has dark brown skin and curly, medium length dark brown hair which is tied in a ponytail. He is wearing glasses, a red plaid lab coat, a pale blue button up shirt, jeans and navy sneakers. There is a seahorse inside one of his lab coat pockets.

The background of the drawing is coral, with light orange splotches.

🌙 fluoresensitive’s Black Ass Picks 🌙

Anyways, white people wanna believe they’re the best all the time, but that’s just not the case, and I’m not going to waste any more Black energy entertaining nonsense. If you truly are a clown who doesn’t believe Black authors have much to offer and have decided to suck the dicks of dead racist white men, that’s a personal issue and illness and moral failing, and nothing can be done for you. For those of you who seek to get better and read better, here is my huge ass list of books by Black authors that I’m obsessed with / books by Black authors that are imperative to read.

Oh wow so ace people doxx and outt minors in the closet for disagreements with opinions now?

I went to the original thread to see if there is a cashapp (it’s also flynnisfly) and there are ace people arguing that being asexual is inherently lgbt and how this is awful but they won’t stand for this aphobia on a thread about a CLOSETED MINOR BEING OUTED AND NOW HOMELESS. have some fucking empathy and open your wallets.
