ok i know mr ratburn and the special someone is cute for very obvious reasons but i think that scene where his sister is laughing and watching the video of hippie ratburn reciting a baby story and playing the bongos is so cute also?? like she just got handed a silly video of her baby brother by one of his students and it probably just made her day amidst all the wedding planning
i know right? it was v cute!! like yeah she’s presented as strict and finicky but it’s clear that she cares for her younger brother a lot :3
This little cat-guy is a self portrait I designed for Arthur back in the early 90′s when I was a character designer for the show. He appears in “The Big Blow-Up” as a soccer player playing opposite Arthur and his friends. He later appeared in several crowd scenes at concerts and plays and shows and things… and I believe after I left the series he even got a speaking part as a ‘villain’ in one episode. ANYWAY, I thought I’d put this together as it’s the closest I’ll ever get to being able to congratulate the Rat-of-the-Hour. Congratulations Mr.Ratburn! not often, but it is referenced occasionally! off the top of my head, there was an instance where buster said something along the lines of “i’m not made of money, i’m made of fur!”

mr. ratburn being gay is so important to me like i remember i used to watch arthur with my sister everyday after school at 4 pm and it was probably one of my favorite tv shows if baby lesbian me could’ve seen a reoccurring character who was apart of the same community it would’ve helped me normalize that shit so much and maybe not internalize so much homophobia idk im ranting it’s 2:30 am and im just so happy

Long time follower first time posting an ask. I wonder how much fun do you think Ratburn's voice actor Arthur Holden had recording lines for the episode. I also felt like it should have been a two parter episode?
i hope he had a lot of fun! the fuckin. Dramatic Reading of the love poem to Paj Tuner was fantastic, hahah. it was a really solid episode overall!
and i thought that it being a standalone episode was good enough for me, but i can understand your point of view! a longer, more thorough episode would have been fun to watch as well!
