2. In-universe magazine covers

3. Redraws of scenes from canon in the style of a real Netflix show or video game

4. Drawing characters with way cooler outfits than they have in canon for the sake of cool outfits

5. Character design breaking down each layer and piece of a character's outfit

6. Mimicking historical art styles (e.g. vintage posters, Victorian portraits)

7. Sprawling landscape paintings of the setting that you can barely even tell is fanart because its just a beautiful landscape

A lot of people say they found Hobie annoying at first when he was establishing hs punk credentials ("I don't believe in teams or consistency/I'll do it but not because you asked me to/it's a metaphor for capitalism" etc.), but what they need to realize is that he's doing a bit. All Spider-people (except Miguel) become comedians when they're wearing the mask. Hobie happens to have a very dry sense of humor; so while he's masked up his jokes are self-aware exaggerations of 'the punk persona'. Not that he doesn't sincerely hold those beliefs (it's made clear he does when he helps sabotage Spider HQ's unethical trans-dimension surveillance network), just that "I don't believe in comedy! Just kidding!" is what you say when you know how most people perceive 'punks' and enjoy fucking with them a little.

AND he uses this persona cleverly to get people to underestimate him! like he's so over-the-top about being anti-authoritarian and anti-establishment that people clearly don't actually expect him to follow through on that (hence why they just let him take shit from HQ). like "oh yeah that's just hobie isn't he so cool and punk haha anyway" until suddenly, whoops! he helps miles escape, he quits, and he builds his own interdimensional travel device. with the spare parts he stole. how cool is that. it's like, if people think being punk is about being loud and listening to music and going around proclaiming your ideals, cool. let them think that. when they find out it's also about lifting up the underdog and sabotaging authority, it'll be too late for them to do anything about it
