When Bandai globally announced the Tamagotchi Uni, they also announced the World Tamagotchi Tour which promises to bring events to different countries such as Japan, France, and the united States to celebrate the launch of the Tamagotchi Uni!

Looks like Bandai Spain is making the first move by announcing a Tamagotchi Uni launch party. The event is open to the public and all are invited on June 18th, 2023 at 5:00PM in the Sala Uñas Chung Lee in Madrid! This appears to be a colorful nightclub in Madrid, which seems like a really awesome venue.

In addition to the public attending, Bandai Spain is having a special performance by Twin Melody, singing song writers, and twin sisters with an impressive following on both YouTube and TikTok. Bandai Spain also promises that the event will deliver music, gifts, and much more.

If you’re in Spain on June 18th, you will not want to miss this event!

Hello there!

We're a small group of Tamagotchi fans putting together a digital fan zine to be released later this year (around December). We're currently looking for anyone who might be interested in contributing - art, stories, tutorials, etc - or who may be interested in just purchasing it once it comes out! Attached is a google form to gather some insight as to what you may want to see included in this zine and hopefully future ones! If you have any other questions, please reach out to us here or through our twitter! https://t.co/sZ685Z6hk9

Hiroshi Fujiwara, influential streetwear designer and founder of the fashion label "fragment design", has posted photos of a unique black Tamagotchi gen 1 on his Instagram. The shell appears to have a matte finish instead of the usual gloss, and has the FRGMT logo as the background. This looks to be the another collaboration done with the replica classic Tamagotchi, after the Supreme collaboration shells.

Tamagotchi Featured in Cosmopolitan Korea

Dasor, a member of the Tamagotchi community, and self proclaimed Tamagotchi collector in South Korea was recently contacted by Cosmopolitan Korea for an upcoming article. Dascor wrote a brief article about the history of Tamagotchi, and Dasor’s love for them! Dascor wrote the article in January of 2023.

Cosmopolitan Korea lent a Tamagotchi to Dascor as they wrote the article too. The small article references how Tamagotchi launched in the late 1990’s, and recently came back. Dasor elaborates on the basic joys of raising a Tamagotchi, including the various types of Tamagotchi’s that there are, and their unique personalities as well as the gameplay. The basic gameplay that is so simple, but really is where the charm lives, such as the feeding, playing, and marrying!

I work full time. Do you know of a tamagotchi w a real pause feature?

Tamagotchi Connection has a true pause feature. there are other features on the Tamagotchi On & Pix that will help too!

Pausing varies between Tamagotchi pets because the original idea was for them not to have a pause feature. But there are ways to pause various devices. In addition to the On and Pix described above, here are some other devices:

The "Set Clock" Method: Press the B button to bring up the clock, then A and C together to put the clock into "Set" mode. This pauses the Tamagotchi's growth until the clock is set again. This works on: the classic Tamagotchi, most vintage models, Japanese "Tamagotchi Plus" models, the original Japanese and 2016 rerelease of the Tamagotchi Mini, and all "Tamagotchi Nano" models.

Tamagotchi Connection (English V1 - V4.5, Music Star, TamaTown Tama-Go, Tamagotchi Friends models): Hold down the A button, then press the B button. The Tamagotchi character will freeze at the center of the screen and the word "Pause" will appear. Pressing the buttons together again will unpause. Also works on the 2005 English Tamagotchi Mini.

Tamagotchi Connection V5 and V5 Celebrity: Go to the Travel Channel. The Tamagotchi will go on a trip, shown by an animation on screen, and its growth will be paused. Pressing a button will give the option to call it back. Works on the Japanese version but requires Gotchi Points.

Color-Screen Models: Most color-screen models feature a daycare or babysitter option wherein the Tamagotchi will be watched for the daytime hours. Their growth won't be paused, but they won't get hungry, become unhappy, poop, or get sick. However, you must call them back before a certain hour, otherwise they will become unhappy.

And remember: all Tamagotchi Connection, Tamagotchi Plus, and color-screen Tamagotchi models feature stored memory, so if you need to stop using for an extended period of time, you can take the batteries out and resume playing at another time!
