Ok so I've been reading A LOT of fanfiction lately and I have finished a few that I'd like to recommend! Any of the ones I mention from here in out will be either WolfStar or Hinny (one or two Jegulus 😅).

Ok so let's talk about my top 5 favorites so far! WolfStar
  • All the young dudes by mskingbean89 AO3.

Y'all! When I tell you that this is basically Canon!! Ok so it's Marauders era, and it's all 7 years of them going to Hogwarts, and then the war and right after Sirius gets out of Azkaban. It's all in Remus's pov and it's amazing! No smut per say, there are a few spicy moments but not super descriptive. 10/10 recommend. It's very long and will take a while to get through but worth it and completed.

Absolute masterpiece! To the point that I'm mad it's not longer! It's Marauders but in a modern world AU. I'm usually really picky with those, but this one was perfect. The boys are all 'highschool'. Sirius James and Peter are in a private boarding school while Remus is home schooled because of he suffers from a bad chronic illness. Sirius accidently texts Remus when he gets a new phone, and after done silly back and forth, the boys fall in love and eventually meet and it's amazing!! No smut although a little fluff and angst. Again my only issue WAS I WANTED MORE!!!

This actually turned into two stories, so make sure you read the sequel "Falling" as well. SO SO GOOD. Also Marauders era, but it's James Remus and Pete living together, and Sirius is new, like a transfer student or something. Remus has a girlfriend, but she's the worst and isn't well looked by others. And slowly Sirius and Remus fall HAD for each other and it's amazing! And Sirius had to help Remus realize it's ok to be gay, and to love him! I love a confident gay Sirius, really.

  • Do I Wanna Know? By shadow_prince AO3

Another WIN! Marauders era, Again. But this one, they come back for their 6th year at school and Sirius realizes how fit Remus looks and it's a struggle how much he likes him. Remus then gets a lot of UNWANTED attention from all the girls, because he in fact is gay. So Sirius as his best friend, comes up with a plan to pretend they're dating, to get the girls off Remus's back. James and Lily of course see their birth really falling for each other and play match maker! It's a fake lovers to real lovers, story. So good

  • Cruel Summer by moonystarx (girl__almighty) AO3

This one was really good. It is basically about the boys gone for a summer from Hogwarts, where Remus is already in love and Sirius invites him to hang out (cause his parents are gone) at Grimald place, and Sirius falls for him too, and it's spicy and so good. I think I recall more spice than smut in this one.

  • Once he’s got hold of an idea, Sirius just won’t let it go 
  • He’s like a puppy playing tug of war 
  • “Let’s go out Remus” he’ll whine, in the middle of a goddamn snowstorm 
  • “No” Remus will say it a thousand times 
  • He’ll say it to the toes that wiggle their way beneath his thighs 
  • “Let’s go out Remus” 
  • He’ll say it to the wide eyes that creep up over the top of his book 
  • “…Reeeemus. Let’s go out.” 
  • He’ll say it to the wandering fingers that tug on his shirt

  • When Sirius sneaks under his arms and pushes the book from Remus’s hands 
  • Sirius opens his mouth to say those words one more goddamn time 
  • But before they come out he’s whipped on to his back
  • “Bad dog.” Remus growls into his mates ear 
  • He’s sinking into the sofa cushions, the weight of Remus’s body against him, pinning him down 
  • For a moment Sirius’s surprised gaze meets Remus’s burning one 
  • And fuck he wants this
  • And suddenly he’s whining in submission as Remus’s teeth nip at his neck
  • “Still want to go outside?” Remus murmurs
  • Remus’s hand at the small of his back, pressing him closer
  • “No.” Sirius breathes
  • “Good boy.”

So my first WolfStar fic is up to chapter 5! Yay! I'll be gone on vacation all week, so (since I have a bank log of like 10 chapters) I'm going to post 2 chapters this week instead of the 1. It will be random as I'll be awaiting Internet access lol.

First Auror Potter I have ever painted was on his birthday, July 31st, in 2016, and it’s the first of this collection. I think that’s why I started to think of him as an +20 yo auror. Somehow, it’s like he’s growing with me in real time. My vision of Harry Potter has matured over the years. He’s no longer a young boy in my mind as I’m no longer a child or teenager. What motivates me is to think he’s got wiser and more serious and all shit he’s been through since he was a kid made him even more sarcastic then he was. “No need to call me sir, professor” would turn into something like “You need to call me sir”.

Lily and James were assembling a small-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower for the bookshop.

"Am I more of a Summer, Spring—’

"You're doing it wrong, love," Lily said, batting James’s hands away.

"I think I'm doing it the way the instructions said to assemble it, dear."

Lily narrowed her eyes. "Well, the instructions were written by an idiot because it doesn’t make sense for that piece to go there, darling."

"You know what—" James lunged at her, wrapping her in his arms and attacking her face and neck with kisses.

"James!" Lily gasped.

Sirius retorted, "You know, some of us are single and really need to finish this quiz so they know whether they're going to die alone or find out what zodiac sign their true love is."

Beasts now has a trailer!

I've been pulling together inspo clips for Beasts ever since I started coming up with the project a few months ago, so this week decided: fuck it, let’s have a bloody trailer after all, why not. So here it is, an extremely amateurish rickety little stab at a trailer for this fic I'm having so much fun writing and thinking about. This is a sort of manifesto for the fic and a little visual moodboard to re-watch pre-writing sessions. It’s messy and a bit rough around the edges but hey — so is the fic (frankly, so is the author). No major plot spoilers within, just a little sneak peek of vibes to come while chapter six is cooking...

How do they comfort each other when one of them is upset? Is this method of comfort effective?

I think Ginny knows when to give Harry space and when to push him. There are just times when Harry needs time to process whatever is happening in his life. I think Ginny knows this and allows Harry to have that time to process, then she goes in and talks to him when he's ready, or he comes to her. Ginny's a very good listener in my mind. I also feel like she looks at situations and says 'yeah, that's shit. do you want ice cream?' and it's so refreshing to him because Harry is not only a fixer, but he's a fixer with a savior complex.

I think Ginny is the complete opposite. When she's upset, she wants to rave about it and does not want to hear any advice whatsoever. When she's run out of steam, she curls up in Harry's lap and lets him hold her. It's only hours later that Harry asks 'do you want my opinion?' and Ginny's reluctantly like 'yeah, fine.' (She definitely does want his opinion, but she'd never tell him that lol)

Who’s more emotionally sensitive/cries more often?

Neither of them? I don't think either of them are particularly weepy at all. I can see them both crying at funerals, but that's about it.

As far as emotional sensitivity, Ginny is more in tune with her emotions and the emotions of those around her.

What would they do if they lost the other?

I think it depends on where they're at in their life. If they've grown old together and know that their time is coming, I think they'd both be very accepting.

Now, if I'm playing devil's advocate, Ginny would lose her mind if she lost Harry while he was on an Auror mission. I think she still has a lot of beef with the fact that he left her after sixth year to go Horcrux hunting, and I think this is only exasperated when he goes on Auror missions. I don't think it's something she'd ever voice, but I think it's something she lives with every day.

I think the same goes for Harry. If he lost Ginny, especially if it was during the war, I don't think he'd ever forgive himself. He would see it as his fault, even if that isn't the case. I think he'd be in mourning for the rest of his life. (Harry Potter is a one true love kinda man imo)

What’s their relationship like with each other’s friends/families?

I'm assuming you are not talking about the AU where Lily and James die? (What do you mean you didn't know they were alive?)

Well, Lily and James absolutely adore Ginny. They think she's the best thing since sliced bread. The first time Ginny came over as Harry's girlfriend (they've met her in passing before obvs), Harry and Ginny were actually in a fight (a very petty one, too) and they ended up going at it in the Potter's kitchen. Well, Harry was talking (closer to yelling) and Ginny goes 'are you done?' and he says 'yeah' and she goes 'great go fuck yourself' then storms out of the house. Harry just stands there in shock (and also realizes that he's just had an embarrassing fight in front of his parents) and Lily goes 'I like her.' And the rest is history.

James and Lily also are super big supporters of Ginny's Quidditch career. They are at every game with their faces painted green and gold. And you better not insult Ginny's playing because you will have to answer to both of them.

It's already canon that Harry is basically a Weasley. Molly and Arthur love him, and think he's the sweetest, most polite kid around. His mum always wonders why that politeness disappears when he comes home. But Molly knits him more than sweaters and Arthur is always asking him to come look in his shed and explain how Muggle things work.

All in all, the Weasleys and the Potters get along great with their kids SOs.

Hi! Sorry I took a bit to answer this, I have been inactive for a few weeks and just now decided to pop back on! If you take a look at my ao3 you'll notice I have a bunch of recs in my bookmarks, but I'll also give you as many as I can think of off the top of my head here lol. I don't read that many long fics but I will do my best, and if you want some shorter ones let me know and I'll definitely be able to give you lots of those!

11th June 2023 - Office

Ginny walked into Harry’s office in the Auror office and sat down in the chair across from his desk.

“What are you doing here and where are the kids?” Harry asked as he looked up and realised Ginny was on her own.

“Charlie is home for a week and wanted to see all his nieces and nephews so he is looking after them all tonight at the Burrow with the help of mum and dad,” Ginny explained.

“Your brother, mum and dad are looking after 13 children between the ages of 4 months and 10 years old?” Harry asked.

“Yep,” Ginny giggled.

“So we have a house to ourselves tonight?” Harry clarified.

“We do,” Ginny assured him, smiling.

“So why are we sitting in my office when we could be sitting at home with a super spicy curry?” Harry jumped up and grabbed his robe.

“There we go, I knew we would get there,” Ginny stood up and opened the office door.

“Shall we get ice cream on the way home as well?” Harry asked as they walked out of the Auror department.

“Only if I can pick the flavour,” Ginny agreed.

Harry led Ginny down to the floo point so they could go home, happy he was no longer sitting in his office.
