Also. I feel really bad and gross and weird when I lie to my students now like when they ask if I’m so excited to move and how I’m gonna decorate my house and telling me how much they’ll miss me and they wish they could see me after graduation and like it’s becoming kind of elaborate now. Like I didn’t tell them that all of our plans fell through bc I thought it would be sort of encroaching on emotional boundary crossing, like the same way I would tell my class if I was pregnant but I wouldn’t tell them if I lost the baby or something, to use an extreme analogy. Right?
BUT ALSO I’ve been handling it all kind of really well (giving all the credit to my new prescription cocktail tbh) so I have thought about addressing it in kind of a “life lesson” way, like “hey guys, I got knocked way off my horse this year, but I’m still standing and chugging along and looking to the future and relying on my support systems and getting through it” sort of thing ?

Last Monday of school today btw which I get on a technicality bc next week is finals week but we get Memorial Day off, also I don’t have to work graduation on Wednesday, also I think my department is throwing me a goodbye party during our meeting today :’)
I had a dream I was being chased by a robot so I ran and hid in someone’s house and then I wandered around and opened their mail and got mad because it was just insurance stuff
