Rohypnol has an INCREDIBLY salty taste to it. It’s disgusting. And it also isn’t a drug that acts immediately! The minute you notice the salty taste, you have about 5-10 minutes to get somewhere safe or call an ambulance, and it CAN be fought if you’re aware of it. It will make you woozy, it will make you so dizzy you can’t stand upright, it will certainly make you unable to walk properly, but if you struggle to remain conscious you can get about 20 extra minutes of consciousness from the drug before it will knock you out completely. If you’re in a public place, and the person who drugged you is trying to take you somewhere private, start. a. fight. Insist as LOUDLY and as VIOLENTLY as you can that you refuse to go anywhere with them. Odds are they’re trying to make as little of a scene as possible as they drag you away, and if you’re putting up a fight and very clearly ‘drunk’, eyes will turn on them and they’ll either need to let you go, or cause a serious scene, which they don’t want. Don’t just act like you’re just protesting being taken home, though. Fight like your life depends on it even if they aren’t assaulting you. Cause. A. Scene. That’s the last thing they want.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR WHAT’S CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN TRUMP’S AMERICA: a lot of unwarranted raids are happening across the U.S right now. The latest states that have been targeted by this massive sweep is California, Arizona, Texas, and now Georgia. Over 100 people have been detained, most likely without a warrant. And before someone says “they’re just keeping the criminals out!1!”, lawyers who were able to consult some of the people detained did not have a criminal record. There have also been reports of officers trailing kids walking home from school to lead to their parents.  These officers DO NOT. HAVE. THE RIGHT. TO DETAIN PEOPLE. WITHOUT. A WARRANT.  

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND DON’T FORGET TO #RESIST

Here’s some more info on what’s happening in Georgia 

I told you the Muslims were the first step. They’re coming after Latinos with no criminal records in their own homes now. Three minutes from my house they detained over 100 people yesterday and literally dragged them out of their houses. They are pulling drivers over on the streets asking for papers. They are following school buses home and arresting parents when they meet the children at the stops. They’re not releasing the names of anyone they have apprehended. They’re not answering any questions from journalists/CHIRLA/the public or giving reasons as to why they’re detaining people without access to immigration attorneys. ICE has gone rogue and it seems to be in retaliation for the 9th circuit ruling against the Muslim Ban. It was clear that the Justice Department was losing during arguments on Tuesday and about 24 hours later random raids all across the country started happening? Not a coincidence.

Meanwhile on Twitter, Republicans are challenging each other to see who can report more “illegal looking people” to the ICE tip line. There are accounts proudly boasting their report tallies and encouraging more to follow suit. Others are saying they reported their neighbors or friends of friends. Any resemblance to Nazi Germany is not unintentional. Be safe out there. We’ve waded into very dangerous territory.

I don’t have a lot of followers, but any of you who can translate this in other languages, especially Arabic and French, please add to this post!

“What can I do to help Syria?”

Well, after educating yourself and advocating for the rights of the Syrian people in their fight for freedom against a brutal dictatorship as well as naming and holding accountable those who aid the Assad regime such as Iran, Hezbollah and Russia among others, *breathes*, you can help by donating to any of the organisations/groups listed below. 

These groups mainly help on the ground in Syria providing aid; be it medical or psychological as well as food and clothes to those in need.

According to the United Nations, there are almost 14 million Syrian refugees around the world (so far) in need of humanitarian aid. The groups below are mainly focused on helping Syrian refugees:

Yes, donating won’t stop barrel bombs from falling on besieged civilian areas (that comes by being vocal about Assad’s crimes) but it can definitely help create a start.

Speaking of educating yourselves, an initiative called Syria Social Campaign would send you one or two articles concerning Syria each week! You only have to submit your email address.

I have also found a more detailed list of things you can do to help aside from donations made by Syrian Solidarity Committee. I highly recommend going through it as it has many excellent recommendations.

donating is great, but at this bleak and uncertain point, what matters the most is to be knowledgable and outspoken to defend the free people of syria and be their voice that’s been long silenced and ignored. and remember, neutrality only helps the oppressor.

It happened about 8:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Nancy Street and Washington Street East in Charleston.

 James Harvey Means , who is 15, accidentally bumped into  William Pulliam while walking in the street. The interaction ended with James getting shot twice. James was taken to CAMC General where he was pronounced dead. And his killer ate dinner after that and went to his friend’s house…Then he was arrested and told the officers :  “The way I look at it, that’s another piece of trash off the street.”

KIDS are dying because of racism. This HAS to be stopped. I just can’t take it anymore.
