So, my girlfriend wakes up in the middle of the nights sometimes, and if she notices I’m not close to her, she taps my face until I wake up and just holds her arms open and says, “Come. Warmth.” And then falls back asleep when I do as told.

hey, guys! so it’s thanksgiving break, and i have loads of work to do, but i’ve been feeling super unmotivated, so i thought i’d make this masterpost for personal reference and to help you guys out!

// TIPS TO GET MOTIVATED //

  • have a list of people and/or goals that motivate you
  • this can be famous people, role models, family members, things you’re working for, where you want to be in five years, a job/grade you want, etc.
  • listen to uplifting music while you work
  • i really love listening to rap music, especially drake
  • however, if music with lyrics is distracting to you, look up some fast-paced instrumentals
  • study in chunks of time, and make sure to take frequent breaks
  • one way to do this is to use the pomodoro method (see this masterpost on the pomodoro method + a printable for using it by @educatier)
  • this helps to prevent burnout, and it keeps you fresh and feeling motivated to continue!!!
  • have a snack with you while working/studying!!!
  • this helps me so much
  • need i explain more??? food makes everything better
  • have a reward system
  • come up with a reward system for every goal you accomplish, or for an assignment you complete, or for a certain amount of time you’ve been working for
  • some ideas for rewards are watching an episode of your favorite show on netflix, getting more food, buying something for yourself, taking a quick nap, etc.
