I need to try this for trips I only bring a carry-on to.
I use to do this all the time in the military. Just forgot how to over time o.o
I wish I’d known about this when I was homeless.
I could’ve taught it to all the other ladies at the shelter and Darlene could’ve sucked a sour one because she never would have been able to bitch at us for “having too many clothes.”
reblogging this to have it forever because holy god damn

Chives are a common household herb you buy at the grocery store and many households just have them around; its a perfect situation for some practical magic.
Medical uses: Used to combat the flu, cold, and lung congestion. Also considered an antiseptic.
Magical uses: Chives make a powerful addition to any spell for Protection, to chase away evil spirits, and for weight loss spells
Gender: Masculine
Planetary Association: Mars
Element: Fire
Zodiac Association: Scorpio
Plant these wonderful little herbs outside your window or inside your room as they’ll passively repel nightmares and evil spirits from your workings and magical tools. They are also great companion plants for vegetables and your flowers as they prevent brown spots on roses and repel insects.
A sachet recipe for protection using chives:
Basil Cinnamon
The shell from garlic
Chives
Rosemary
Potato slice
dry the herbs separately and charge them with your will. To do this touch them and visualize your energies transferring and mixing with the raw power of the herb while focusing on protection, or what ever property of that herb you want to activate. lay them in the sun to charge as protection spells require masculine vibrations and the god of the sun is often evoked for protection spells.
You can grind them into a powder and spread them around your home or keep them whole in a satchet to be carried around with you. Rub the herbs and smell their fragrance when you want their protective powers to increase for a short time.
An Oil concoction recipe:
You can also simmer them in olive oil for 15 minutes to infuse the oil with their properties. Make sure it is olive oil as it has strong protective properties itself. Place them in a tincture and anoint your tools, clothes, and yourself to activate this protective spell.
Smoke Cleansing: Formerly referred to as “smudging” (but should not be because that term referred to a specific Native American tradition and should not be appropriated) smoke cleansing is the most widely known form of home cleansing. One should take a bundle of dried sage or cedar and let it on fire until it is lit. Then, walk around the effected room or building spreading the smoke emanating from the bundle until the smoke has sufficiently permeated the air.
Saltwater Cleanse: A simple and effective form of cleansing in a pinch. Mix 1 part salt to 6 parts water (1:6 because the number 6 is considered to be “The Caretaker” in Numerology). This can be mixed in a bowl, cup, or even in a spray bottle for easy use. Spray/flick the saltwater in all of the corners of the room/house that you want to cleanse. It can also help to repeat a relevant chant or prayer while moving throughout the area.
Van Van Oil Home Cleansing: Wash down all of the wood work in and outside of the house with Van Van Oil mixed in water (also known as Chinese Wash). When you are finished, throw the remaining wash out the front door, facing East. Finish off by sweeping the house back to front with a brand new broom.
Herbal Cleansing Bottle: Get a large bottle. First, put in a sturdy sand bottom layer. Then, add in the following herbs in this order, one of top of the other; Rosemary, lemon peel, sage, cedar, black peppercorns, lavender, dill, bay leaf, and rowan. When the bottle is full, visualize your energy going into it. You should notice a slight yellow/golden glow when it is charged. Seal it fully and inscribe a pentagram or sigil of your choice on the bottle. Set it by a window and uncap and recharge every 6 months.
Home Purification Burn: Make your own incense out of dried Pine needles, Juniper, and Ceder (1 tbs of each). Grind ingredients together and burn them while reciting a chosen chant or prayer.
Candle and Salt Cleanse: Get a white candle and some salt. Put the candle in the center of the room that needs cleansing. Pour the salt in a circle around the candle and let it burn until it goes out.
Not all witches are wiccan. Not all witches worship deities. Not all witches practice traditional magick. Not all witches are the same. Witchcraft is highly personal and your craft is as unique as you are. ✨
Hi sweeties! A new jar for you today!
Trouble focusing and concentrating/channeling extra energy into positive, useful ways is not a new struggle in my household. This jar was a request, but also something I found to be useful for people in my own home, so it was a joy to make, filled with love!
Let’s start!
With each added ingredient, focus that intent and love into each of your layers. The magic is in you and your intent, so don’t be afraid to spend time on each layer! Once you are finished, you can cork up your bottle and speak your intent into the whole bottle, definitely spend time concentrating and focusing while doing this, as it is the purpose of the bottle, infuse it with these things!
While doing so, you can repeat to yourself–
“Peace will come, focus will stay. My energy will be used in a productive way.”
After you are finished, you can seal up your bottle with wax, I have a tutorial for this here.
Feel free to tag me in your recreations! I love to see them! You can also find my other bottles here.
I hope this was helpful! I’m open for questions if you have any!
xoxo.
🌺🔥Merry Beltane Eve🔥🌺
Smoke and ash, may you burn necessary bridges and rekindle old happy flames. May you find love in every one, but most of all within yourself. May you feel love from the Gods and let Mother Nature caress you. May you fan the flames of prosperity and always be financially stable. May you be sensually free and above all else respected physically and psychologically by everyone who comes your way.
You are a witch. You are fire. Never let your flame fade.
I in no way expect you to give away the recipe to any of your own salves, but I was wondering how one goes about making a salve. I just can't imagine it and since you make them so well, I thought maybe you could explain how it just... works. Sorry, that sounds stupid, but I'm more of a "power in words and flames" sort of witch than anything and I can't even make a simple potion, so things like salves have me utterly gobsmacked.
Thank you for being so patient for this response! It doesn’t sound stupid at all! Also, thank you for the compliment! I’m not sure what you mean by “works” so I’m going to do a really quick summary.
My salves are made through a melt freeze process. The salves you’re referring to aren’t typical as they’re whipped. Most salves will be smooth like lip balm.
The most common way I know how to make salves is to essentially infuse some sort of fat. In a double boiler (or pyrex dish and sauce pan), melt down your fat (shortening is common, lard less so but better in my opinion though I typically use a blend of beeswax and oils for this type) and add your herbs. I’ve always let mine sit on the lowest heat setting for at least an hour before taking off heat. You can also do this in the oven on a very low temperature (~200). Once it’s cooled but not solidified, strain out the ingredients you were infusing it with. Move to a dish and let cool. I prefer Vitamin E as a preservative.
It “works” by subcutaneously absorbing. It’s applied topically and absorbed through the skin. For example, flying ointments are applied to heat areas (under arms, wrists, elbow hinges, chest, nape of neck, etc) and absorbed quickly through the skin.
I hope this helped! I wasn’t really sure what you were looking for.
Sigil requests are open! 😊
• “I am not affected by others negative opinions of me.” • “I radiate with confidence.”
What you need: ♢Lavander ( ease the mind, relieves anxiety) ♢Marjoram (wards of depression) ♢Ginger (success and power ) ♢Dill (mental strength ) ♢Mint (exorcism)
What you have to know: Except ginger all of this herbs are associated with Mercury, that represents the mind and plays an important role in the areas of cognition and wisdom.
Grind the herbs into a powder and sprinkle it on your books or light it up as an incense.
This is a simple charm that will bring motivation to the wearer/ holder. This charm can be made at any time but is best done in a storm. The harder the rain the better.
You will need:
Sprinkle the storm water onto the aventurine or hold is out in a storm. Make sure the water touches it. Out loud or in your head, say: “Give me motivation to do what I want and need to get done.” Also, you should visualize yourself getting these things done. After, dry the stone and carry it around with you.
Be Great, my lovelies. ~Chloe of Journals
Here goes another felt pouch I made lately. This is the first that wasn’t meant for my own use, but for my loved one. He’s been having trouble with his colleagues at work. Everyone’s stressed out and angry, shouting at everything and his bosses choleric personality doesn’t help either. I assume that the talisman would work just as well to bring calm tor any other relationship though.
a SIGIL saying “no one fights”
a few RUNES
HERBS
COLOUR MAGIC - Blue for harmony and friendliness, trust, friendship and optimism. White for pureness, harmony and goodness.
Charge it in the sunlight (this enhances the amazing scent of the herbs).
Oh, and in case you would like to make one yourself - don’t Forget to talk about your problems. Make the others listen and listen in return! Magic doesn’t solve everything.
Wearing jade crystal or keeping it with you for a few hours before sleeping promotes relaxation and better sleep.
