The funniest thing about the xenoblade 1 is that they give you a pretty obvious plot twist in the middle-point of the game before for the rest of the game they just mindfuck you with 4D chess plays.

If we knew his semblance, it would have made his fall more tragic. This is not, I repeat, NOT a pro or anti Ironwood post. He got what he deserved by Vol 8's end, and I stand by that. However, without the bit of context that Ironwood's semblance makes him lazer focused on a goal, it makes his turn less tragic then they probably wanted it to be.

So, amongst semblances, you have "makes you teleport", "makes you punch harder the angrier you are/the more hurt you are", "lets you conjure a shadow clone", "lets you do ACTUAL FUCKING MAGIC"

And then there's a guy who just has "he's kinda stubborn"?

Qrow's semblance is bad luck.

True, but his bad luck can affect the people around him, seems like an actual power in comparison to “stubbornness.” 

Though it also would have been helpful if there was some sort of cue when it happens, so the audience can realize that he’s using it at the time. The fact that that wasn’t a thing really didn’t help.

Ironwood's semblance is just actual mental illness.
