it’s so annoying to me how absolutely no official stranger things account addresses the racism and homophobia that caleb/lucas has dealt with since season 1 and noah/will for the last few years but especially after the confirmation that will was gay in july. the caleb stuff is unacceptable to me because absolutely no one in charge was defending him (which isn’t surprising since they never actually address it in the show after it happens) and it’s been completely unwarranted from the start. a statement wouldn’t be hard to make. the will stuff is absolutely disgusting too because he’s getting called slurs left and right and tons of viewers want him to die because he’s… what? in love? not like hopper? like y’all really couldn’t have just posted something when noah confirmed he (will) was gay about how just maybe people could tone shit down? idc if byler’s supposed to be a plot twist OR if you don’t wanna “divide people even more 🥺” like everyone else in the world. it’s not like you have to be an activist to address bigotry ESPECIALLY when you’re part of a show that’s all about not conforming and not being normal. a paragraph isn’t that hard to type and at least you’re acknowledging that it exists because ignoring it clearly isn’t helpful. like this should not all be up to your actors
