It’s the middle of the night. Chiron should probably get some sleep. Looking out of his window he sees two boys, they’re stargazing. Achilles! He thinks. Patroclus!
It’s only then that he realises that Patroclus’ skin is way too white and as glorious as Achilles was, he definitely didn’t light up like a glow stick in the night. It’s not them. It’s just Nico and Will.
It’s been over 2000 years, they’re dead, Chiron, they’re dead.
Ritsu that's not yours...
Idk i always enjoyed the idea of Ritsu wearing Sho's jacket whenever he forgets it after hanging out. Bonus: He came back for the jacket...
Reasons to watch Del Toro's Pinocchio
- Its stop motion
- The stop motion was done by people who worked on The Adventures of Mark Twain
- Its Guillermo Del Toro's passion project that he's been trying to have made for over a decade
- It was co-written by Patrick Mchale who made Over The Garden Wall
- The designs of not just Pinocchio but the Blue Fairy, the humans and the sets are incredible
- The entire score was done in wood instruments
- It satirizes propaganda and how it is used to manipulate impressionable minds
- Its pretty fucking anti-war
- It tackles themes of loss, death, war & abuse
- It does not fuck around when it comes to mature subjects
- We need more support for stop motion films, its a great animation style and has so much potential that we hardly ever see
[id: screenshots of tiktok captions. the images say, “but the only reason we still love princess diana is because she did not have the time to disappoint us.”]
begging queer kids to read up on princess diana’s involvement with the community. yes, she was a rich, pretty monarch. yes, she died young.
but the reason why queer people love her is because she used her privilege during the aids crisis to advocate for sick queer men, when very few others would - much less someone of her status.
diana spent years advocating for the health and care of queer people with hiv/aids. in 1987, at the height of the epidemic, she opened the first specialist clinic dedicated to treating aids patients (the first clinic of it’s kind in the uk).
she also fought public hysteria by hugging and shaking bare hands with aids patients, at a time when aids was thought to be spread by skin to skin contact. not only that, she visited patients in the clinic regularly and even comforted them through their sickness.
and when queen elizabeth told her to try focusing on “something more pleasant”?
diana ignored her and kept fighting.
and this is only her work towards the aids crisis. she publicly called out the royal family, brought attention to numerous world issues, and was known as an advocate for empathy and kindness. she’s known and loved as the people’s princess for good reason
Fandoms lately.
This is
LITERALLY
What the “dead dove do not eat” tag/warning means
For the record.
It’s not about the darkness of the content!
It’s about “did you read the tags? I am not joking about the content, that is what you’re getting, don’t cry to me about it if you thought it would somehow be something else.”
You know what I love? Calling it "Christian Mythology." Referring to their god as "The Christian God." Refusing to conform to the idea that their religion is any more valid than anyone else's.
Oh, it makes them spicy. Gets them all twitchy. They wanna fistfight me in a Denny's parking lot, but they know they can't 'cause I'm right.
Bakugou kicks stuff a lot, not without purpose. what i mean is that he uses his feet for things like opening doors and moving stuff instead of his hands. (like non-bakugous)
At first i chalked it up to him being true to his delinquent facade but what if he used to doing it that way? it would've been difficult to control his quirk in the early days so he started to stuff his hands into his pocket and open doors with his feet to reduce property damage around the house and it turned into a habit.
I don’t know what to fucking say anymore.
I’m tired. I’m hurt. I’m sad. And angry, like, really FUCKING angry.
They were children, they were only kids. And they found 215 of their corpses buried near those goddamn schools. It shouldn’t even be called a school.
As an indigenous person, this is fucking heartbreaking. But it’s not like it’s new. Shit like this has been happening and will continue happen unless we do something about it.

Educate yourself on residential schools and the generational trauma that we endure
Just PLEASE for the love of god talk about this.
We can’t keep letting shit like this slide. That was only one school where they found those kids. Imagine how many more have mass graves on the premises. This isn’t just “a dark chapter in our country’s history” this was and still is the whole fucking book. There are people in my community who have lived through the horrors of residential schools and many more that live with the trauma it brought.
The link below me is a petition to call for a national day of mourning for the kids who didn’t make it home to their families.
Please sign and share it. Remember these kids and the horrors they went through because we should NEVER forget this atrocity.
For anyone who doesn't know what's going on in Canada right now (which, let's be real, is probably everyone who's not in Canada):
This week, a mass grave was discovered at a former Indian Residential School, in Kamloops, BC. The grave contained the bodies of 215 Indigenous children.
For people outside of North America, residential schools were places that Indigenous children were sent to, to have their language and culture stripped away from them. They were literally stolen from their families, and scattered across Canada, to ensure that they would be surrounded by children who didn't speak their language. They were given Christian names and forced to speak English. They were horrendously abused, and the survivors have been traumatized.
Hundreds of children never returned. The assumption has always been that they died. This has now been confirmed.
The school in Kamloops closed in 1978. They are now trying to identify bodies to inform family members. The last residential school closed in the 1990s. There is growing demand to search all of them, but the government hasn't responded to that, as of yet. Ottawa JUST gave in to pressure to fly the Canada flag at half mast. They weren't even going to do that.
This is the reality if anti-Indigenous racism in Canada. The residential schools may be closed, but that hasn't stopped the abduction of Indigenous children, let alone the hundreds of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
In Elmo’s voice: “I only had three lines!”
Okay but please watch the whole video. It’s just over a minute.
1. Robin Williams making off-the-cuff jokes that are definitely not Sesame Street appropriate.
2. The slow zoom in on Elmo’s face at the end.
3. Robin Williams

Robins Williams’ laughter in the background is the most heartwarming, mood lifting thing I have ever heard.
You. Cannot. Tell.
Just to be clear. The message here is not, “All men are scum.” It’s not even, “Most men are scum.” This is not what it’s about, and fuck every TERFy shitwaffle who tries to co-opt this. We don’t need that kind of rhetoric spreading the belief that “men are naturally evil” and that “men can't help being that way.” That’s just complete bullshit.
The message is, “A few men are murdering, raping bastards, but they are very good at pretending to be perfectly good, normal men, and we have no way of telling who they are so we have to be super cautious because society and law-enforcement can't be counted on to have our backs.”
My best friend's best friend in middle school who was also a close friend of mine moved after we graduated middle school. We used to hang out all the time and a few times alone. I find out idk sophomore year that he murdered his mom and attempted to murder his blind sister. He stabbed his mom to death like hundreds of times. You literally cannot tell.

man have i got some great news for you
stop telling your teenage daughters who say they don’t want kids that they’ll change their mind
reblog the shit outta this
I haven’t been a teenager in over a decade. Mind has yet to change on the subject.
- At 14, I told my guidance counselor that I didn’t want kids. He chuckled, patted me on the back, and informed me that when I got a little older, and I was with a guy, I would change my mind.
- At 16, my grandmother nearly had a heart attack because of her three granddaughters, myself and the youngest agreed we didn’t want to uave babies. Ever.
- At 17, my father asked about my life plan. I told him: graduate high school, get my college degree, do some traveling and writing, go for this particular job I wanted, retired around X age, take month-long vacations to places I wanted to spend time in, etc. He asked, “What about a husband? Children? Normal things a girl is supposed to think about?” My response- a husband if a man came along that could share an adventure with me, kids were a No Go. He assured me I would ‘grow up’ qnd change my mind.
- At 19, I shocked my former babysitter who had known me since I was a toddler, when I confirmed the rumour she’d heard that I didn’t want kids. She patted my mom’s arm and reassured her in a sweet voice that, “Don’t worry, girls say a lot of silly things before they meet the right fella, and wise up. She’ll give you grand babies”
- At 22, I was talking to a college professor who chuckled at my making a comment about how, “thank goodness I’m never going to have to worry about juggling child rearing eith marriage, work, and life”, then she realized I was serious. She asked if I was alright, thinking I could-not (not didn’t-want) kids. I told her the truth, could have but didn’t want to. She was aghast, then told me that I’d change my mind when my husband wanted some kids.
- Well, I’m over 30, still have absolutely no desire to give birth, adopt, raise, or have much of anything to do with children. I don’t hate children, I don’t think people who have them are crazy (more power to you, to create and/or care for another person), and I don’t think it’s impossible to have a life AND have children. I recognized at an early age that I don’t have that biological imperative to procreate, I don’t have the patience to deal with children (something that has shown very little improvement as I’ve gotten older, in fact it might be getting worse), and I don’t feel my life is incomplete without creating another life- I am good with living my own and doing my best to enrich the lives of those I care about (I try my best to be a good friend, to be a good sister, good daughter, good pet-owner, and a good person in general).
So please, please stop telling girls (or really kids at all, but especially girls) that they will change their minds. Please don’t tell them that meeting ‘the right guy’ will make them suddenly feel broody, that their potential future husband’s desire to have children will make her reconsider and see things his way. For one, a couple should have had that conversation and decided if it was a deal breaker, LONG before they got hitched. For another, it’s her body that gets to grow and birth another human being- her husband’s desire to be a father doesn’t supercede her autonomy.
Please, let girls make their own choices? Girls are forced to mature too fast as it is and are bombarded from all sides with SHOULD (you SHOULD be a size 2, you SHOULD wear this dress, you SHOULD have a boyfriend to be a normal teen, you SHOULD always smile), they don’t need another judgement from someone who hasn’t walked a mile in their particular shoes. Respect teenage girls and their ability to look at the world, themselves, their situation, and their future, and make an important choice.
*gets off soap box, slides it back under the sofa, lets out a sigh*
Thanks for attending my TED talk. G'night.
