sally and percy are such an iconic mother son duo they understand eachother so deeply and want the best for eachother, they survived horrible stuff together, they have inside jokes and running gags, they killed a man once
Ykw Luke being Annabeth’s evil ex in mortal aus is so overdone.
He's her loser older brother. He only hangs out with the same 4-5 people despite half his college fancying him. He's the designated driver for Percy and Annabeth’s dates. He takes fencing classes. Thalia beat him to the shovel talk and he still holds a grudge to this day.
day 1 without ao3: i have gone through all 5 stages of grief multiple times and have invented a 6th. i will not disclose what the 6th stage of grief is.

legit as someone who works in tech i cannot IMAGINE being one of the tech volunteers for ao3 and combatting this ddos attack FOR FREE. ALL. DAY. LONG. definitely donating to ao3 this year when this is all over and the site is back up and running.

Y’all, the Archive admins are made up of VOLUNTEERS. And they have been working for 12-13 HOURS STRAIGHT.
I better not hear any complaints when donation period comes around. OR ELSE.

EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.
But Seriously what can we do for these volunteers? The probable burn out from this entire fiasco would be no joke. @ao3org
Favorite thing about renaissance faires is that they have fuck all to to with the renaissance. This thang is not about historical anything this is about dressing up like a fairy and watching a joust
Shout-out to Ao3 for not only being transparent in the work they're doing to try to get the site running, but for IMMEDIATELY calling out any islamophobia. They're doing fucking WORK rn, all on a volunteer basis, and while most of the comments I've seen are far and away supportive I just know whoever is in charge of their socials is watching the comments section unfold with a migraine.
Anyway this is all to say I love Ao3 and the people working on it rn are dealing with absolute chaos, so the next time someone throws out a line about "why do they need a fundraiser every year" please remember today.
