Sharing Nudes Online: 2020 Edition

Are you getting on OnlyFans or a Cam site? Nice! Please take a minute to think about your security before diving in!

1.     Use 2 Factor Authentication.  This will make sure that no one else can log into your account but you. I recommend Authy because it makes it easy to back up and transfer your authenticator to a new phone or device.

2.     Use a password manager like 1Password or Lastpass. Generate strong passwords not only for the accounts your nudes will be on, but your email and Instagram, FaceBook, Venmo, ect. All of these passwords should be different for every account.

It may look crazy but your passwords should look like this: “@&3T5R@Um48@qH5X624”

3.     Create a unique email for your Accounts. This email should have nothing to do with you, your name, or the city/state you live in. Use this email for all of the sites you are posting nudes to.

4.     Create a username for these sites you have never used before. This will make it difficult for people to find you based on an old forgotten account.

5.     Turn off location services for your camera, photos commonly have exif data that reveals the location the photo was taken. Most sites scrub this data, but why not do it yourself just in case.

To find an image’s exif data, right-click the photo and select either “properties” or “information”. If the GPS coordinates appear, simply type them into Google Maps to find the location.

6.     Check the background of your photos. Try not to include location revealing items. Tee-shirts with your local baseball team, show posters of your favorite local bands, etc.

7.     Make your personal accounts like Facebook and Instagram private. Some social media sites allow you to be excluded from search.

8.     If you want to receive gifts, I suggest Square and Venmo, do not use your personal accounts to receive this money. Make sure to change your privacy settings so only you can see the transactions. Remember, most of these services have a history of banning SW accounts, so do not keep large amounts of money in them.

9.     Amazon wishlists. If you want to receive gifts through amazon, I would suggest setting up a PO Box or use an Amazon Locker (eg. WholeFoods). Have a friend pick the items up if you can. Make sure to not use your real name or personal info when sharing these lists.  Don’t do any shows for amazon gifts until you have it in your hands.

10.    If you have an old phone or tablet, use that to separate your new social media from your personal accounts. Turn this device off when you are not using it.

11.   If you are creating a new twitter or Instagram account, do not follow yourself with personal accounts and vice-versa. Be careful how you tag your friends and how they tag you for both accounts.

12.  Never download apps or click links that are sent to you from people you do not know.

13.  Turn your computer off when you are not using it. Detach the webcam if you can, or cover the lens of your webcam when you are not using it.

This is not made to discourage anyone, please just be safe online. Double and triple check any account you have to make sure you aren’t revealing anything you don’t want to.  <3

**NOTE** This is not en exhaustive list, but a good start.

Here are a couple of other resources for suggestions on how to stay safe:

DON’T SCROLL PAST THIS

for the last 2+ weeks, the Amazon has been catching fire. Yes, it’s the season where that’s normal but because of the sayings (aka incentive) of our new president, some farmers are taking advantage of that and intentionally setting the trees on fire. Yesterday, because of this, the sky of São Paulo looked like this. AT THREE IN THE AFTERNOON.

Hospitals of the northern states are filling up with people (especially children and seniors) claiming they can’t breathe properly. ALREADY ENDANGERED ANIMALS ARE DYING. THIS IS SERIOUS.

Germany and Norway, huge donators to the Amazon cause will stop sending money because they don’t see results (that can also be credited to our president, who has been tweeting angrily ever since - not because he cares about the environment, btw). That money gives this guy and his team equipment to save little guys like these:

THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE, NOT JUST BRAZILIANS. The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world, and it’s being destroyed. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING.

If your country is holding elections, vote for someone who cares about this. Don’t let another Bolsonaro or another Trump have the power to do something and then do nothing. This is going to shape our future — if we have one.

PLEASE REBLOG, EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!

side note: not to sound bitter or ungrateful but also like what’s up with Europe… y’all exploited South America for centuries but just because you “aren’t seeing results” you stop helping altogether?? if you really wanted to help you wouldn’t stop because you think you aren’t helping lol

theres a petition going around. PLEASE sign it. this is HUGE

To put it succinctly, the rainforest provides 20% OF THE WORLDS OXYGEN. Without the rainforest, the world WILL die. Make no mistake. These fires are being started by greedy ranchers, farmers, and corrupt government officials. These fires are being fueled by the desire for more of the all mighty dollar. They will destroy humanity for money the love of money that they will hoard for the simple pleasure of having it.

A better, more positive Tumblr

Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.

Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).

Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.

So what is changing?

Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.

Why are we doing this?

It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.

So what’s next?

Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.

Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.

Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.

Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

Go fuck yourself Tumblr.

Go fuck yourself.

Dear Tumblr,

Tumblr staff, I want you to know that I love my wife. She’s the one for me without a doubt. That being said, for the last year and a half our relationship has gone to a new level of openness and sexual fulfillment. We found Tumblr, set up separate accounts and used it as a tool to show each other more about ourselves. We learned more about each other’s sexuality in 18 months than we had in 8 years because of the openness and atmosphere of your app. For us, this app isn’t about exploiting people or trying to hook up or finding pleasure elsewhere. It’s about using information and finding friends that encourage us to grow together and become stronger partners. I’m disappointed in your decision to ban the content that so many people have used to grow and even learn how to be comfortable with who they are. It’s easy to be angry and send memes and make fun of this decision, but in the end it’s sad. It’s disheartening that your knee jerk decision is shutting down this community that thrives within itself and really doesn’t press its views on anyone else.

i just walked past the apartment beneath mine and through an open window i could hear my downstairs neighbor crying faintly while the song jolene played in the background and im just like… bitch are you okay…?

I actually ended up going back downstairs to check on her and brought some leftover cookies I baked this afternoon. she’s very sweet and going through a Breakup Mood™️ after being cheated on. she’s coming over to my gf and I’s annual bad movie night on Friday and she even let me pet her cat named Clarence

my gf thinks it’s funny but very fitting that our downstairs neighbor was able to summon a concerned lesbian just by playing jolene while crying about being done dirty by a man
