Why

@ohdeargodwhy / ohdeargodwhy.tumblr.com

listen. as much as i genuinely adore the idea of ted teaching trent to ride a bike (i love that little trope SO fucking much) it is also very funny and wholesome for ROY to be teaching trent to ride a bike. and even funnier than that??? JAMIE

(via @despite-everything) #no i literally love this#ted is an obvious choice. cute and sweet but ROY?#that's also wonderful. thinking about roy teaching trent how to do something he only recently learned#and thinking about the exploration of their new friendship there is lovely (and funny)#but JAMIE??? yeah that's hysterical#especially since jamie and trent seemed to have had a pretty decent rapport for a player and a journalist even back in season 1#but i can just picture jamie being like 'jesus christ how are there so many old men around me who can't ride bikes'#he would be so funny about it#ted lasso
(via @tredcrimso) #okay but. ted wants to be the one to teach trent.#like he has a whole plan on how he's gonna trick trent into it one day.#there might be a picnic involved. it's totally normal to want to take your guy friend on a picnic.#anyway so that's his plan.#but the thing is.#the thing is roy also wants to teach trent#like as soon as he finds out he starts thinking of a way to casually teach trent.#he's not gonna offer. but if like. there happens to be a bike in the parking lot one evening. and they're walking out and trent spots it.#(because *roy* isn't going to spot it. obviously.)#roy can be like. well whatever get on it then. it's time you learned you old prick#so that's roy's plan that he totally doesn’t have#and then meanwhile jamie hears trent can't ride a bike.#not even from trent. from roy and ted. who absolutely have never discussed trent or trent's inability to ride a bike. over drinks.#with beard chiming in.#anyway. so jamie hears that trent can't ride a bike.#and he just straight up approaches trent one day and is like. heard you can't ride a bike. i could teach you. if you want.#and trent is like i'm an impatient student.#(which is what his father told him after their one lesson attempt.)#and jamie is all no worries. i taught roy kent to ride a bicycle. if i can teach him i can teach anyone.#and trent is all *you* taught roy kent to ride a bicycle?#so anyway. they decide to meet after work one evening and jamie teaches him how to ride a bike.#and trent just...cycles past the crown and anchor. with jamie close behind.#while beard ted and roy are having drinks outside.#and ted and roy are both. so crushed.#also since when do trent and jamie hang out?#(they actually start hanging out a lot after this)#and the next day at work ted acts all chipper and excited like. trent you learned to ride a bike good for you!!!#meanwhile roy is like. if you wanted to learn you could have asked me.#to which trent replies why learn from the student when the master is available?

you both have such huge brains

jfc y'all will do the most to use actual queer characters as props for a straight man's story and call it "representation" because you have a headcanon. just let queer people exist on screen ffs

which supposed monolithic group are you trying to y'all me into here lmao

i am not sure what you think i'm calling representation unless you're referring to some old post of mine i've forgotten

'let queer people exist on screen' if you are referring to my latest midnight thoughts about Trent Crimm, which uses hyperbole for comic effect in the way of most fandom posts on this site, fictional characters are fictional and are not going to have their feelings hurt by me recognising the necessity of their creation and evolution involves writers having to make active choices, and have reasons for those choices narrative or otherwise

bbcdoctorwho Welcome to the #DoctorWho family, Rose Noble 🌹➕🔷 Wishing a very happy birthday to Yasmin Finney, whose character Rose is the daughter of companion Donna Noble (played by Catherine Tate) and Shaun Temple (Karl Collins). So the question is, what happens when Rose meets one of her mum’s oldest friends? It is a mystery for now, but what we do know is that just like her mother, Rose stumbles across something alien - and from that point her seemingly ordinary family is never quite the same… ✨
