Well i for one think its fucked up that people treat every monster catching game like its just. "Pokemon, But:" yknow? Like i get it its a hyperspecific genre and pokemon is all encompassing and every pokemon catching game is going to be inspired by it, but that doesnt actually take merit away from the game? Like i think maybe if you just approached these games with an unbiased mindset youd find a lot more differences than youd expect??
