Riverdale could have been so much better than it is. We could have had an interesting slice of life that just lets teenagers be teenagers. We missed out on aro/ace Jughead. Exploration of possible polyamory between Archie/Betty/Veronica. If they wanted to include something ‘weird’ Sabrina the Teenage Witch is right there to hang out with the Archie crew. Still love this moment with Archie and Jughead, who’s definitely aromantic in the 2015 comics. Archie fucks up.
That look on Jughead’s face says it all. We could have gotten some great character development, exploration, even drama but man Riverdale is weird. Great characters just derailed completely.

We did learn three things though:
- It EXISTS
- They plan on releasing it at some point
- The tracklist
That is, if what they were going to post was even the real thing. Avatar composer Jeremy Zuckerman didn’t even know this was happening, so either someone working on the YouTube channel had access to the files and was going to release them without realizing how big of a deal it would be, or whatever they were going to post wasn’t even the real thing. I guess we’ll find out… Eventually… Back to waiting.

They’re pulling a Beyoncé. In less than 12 hours, the moment we have waited for for so long is finally arriving. The full, official ATLA soundtrack is coming. It’s premiering on the official Avatar YouTube channel at 10am EST, tomorrow, September 25th, 2020.
The way YouTube premieres work is that at the premiere time, the video goes live for the first time, and there’s a live chat as it plays. After that, it becomes a normal YouTube video on the channel, meaning it will stay up and the soundtrack will be permanently available there.
Currently, it’s unclear if it will be released for purchase or streaming as well.
