Actually the real funniest thing about SuperWhoLock in retrospect is that fast forward 10 years from its heyday in 2012 and you got people writing impassioned essays about how an extremely dry and homophobic gay confession scene was the pinnacle of queer media on Supernatural and people writing impassioned essays about how BBC Sherlock was secretly a gay love story despite being also dry and homophobic but no one is writing an impassioned essay about how you can queue up an episode of 2007 Doctor Who on HBO Max from the comfort of your home and see John Barrowman walking around saying “I ❤️ Cock” repeatedly until someone shoots him. And them he doesn’t die because he can’t die. He cannot die

tbh i never asked myself what did it feel like to listen to the pure mess that is we didn't start the fire at the time of its release when all of the events were fresh and it felt weirdly insensitive but fob sure did deliver on the experience

like i finally understand the full impact of "north korea south korea marilyn monroe" but at what cost

The Dance of a Thousand Hands.

This is so surreal for something that includes zero special effects of any kind

HOLY SHIT

If this is the group I think it is (you can find them by searching Dance of a Thousand Hands on YouTube), the dancers are all hard of hearing and the orchestra is visually impared. The dancers can feel the music through vibrations in their feet and hearing and feeling each other’s breathing. They are the China Disabled Peoples Performing Arts Troupe and have traveled to 100 countries and counting. They aim to prove that anyone can dance, and anyone can play.

Tag your age if you wanna bc I was just thinking about how I have used floppy disks before (I'm 25 and used them in elementary computer lab) but my 22 y.o. brother hasn't which is so weird to me like 3 years isn't a long time at all to me

when i was post op after top surgery i had a good friend there with me to help recover. but the nurse didnt get the memo and when i woke up she was like “ok i’m gonna go get your girlfriend and bring her in to see you!” and i remember being so zonked on anesthesia and so disoriented i just laid there thinking wow…… all that an they’re bringing me a girlfriend too this place is amazing

It’s never been more lonely or isolating to be a young person than these last 5 years. Meeting actual people you can connect with takes a lot of energy and time so at the end of the day it’s the vulnerable people that are being left behind

And sometimes I lay awake and think ‘’What if I will forever be this lonely little thing? What if I die like this?’’ so im putting effort into preventing that. But I know not everyone is able to do that. I guess what im trying to say is that I suspect there are a lot of lonely people and these numbers will only increase. So if you’re lonely rn I just wanna say that you’re not alone in this. It’s just really hard

I have watched COLUMBO with my grandpa so many times when I was a kid and I never knew Lieutenant Columbo's first name was Frank! Frank Columbo! Frank!

So for those interested: Columbo's name IS Frank but it's only because the prop's guy had to put something as a first name and just randomly chose Frank. He actually got in trouble for that. On the other hand, if it were such an issue, they probably shouldn't have had a close up on Columbo's card.

Oh that's even better - random prop guy named him and they were forced to keep it like that. Amazing.
