I knew that the spot used to be a scientist but I didn't really understand that until he said, 100% seriously and with no fear: "hypothesis: im going to stick my head into that hole"
can’t get over how the way they animated spider-punk made it so he disrupted every scene he was in, HIS EXISTENCE IN ITSELF IS PUNK
What I love the most about atsv is the spots design, his limbs are a little too long and his chest and torso are a bit stubby and this is amplified in a fun silly way by how he holds himself the first time we see him, he’s awkward and clumsy and yet when his demeanor switches suddenly his anatomy makes you uncomfortable, when he’s sprinting towards miles all you can do is hold your breathe as a foreboding feeling sinks into you’re gut. He becomes imposing as his elongated limbs suddenly feel sinister and inhuman instead of goofy. He goes from “hehe his arms and legs are lengthy” to “oh god his arms and legs are lengthy”
They called Spot a villain of the week and he decided it was gonna be the worst week of their lives I gotta respect it
The way that The Spot wants to be Miles’ nemesis to get revenge and how both he and Miles are played off like jokes. The way others don’t really take them as a serious threat. The way they mirror each other about it and feeling upset that they aren’t taken seriously as their lives fall apart from being turned into something more than you were. The way that both of them are fed up and take action about it and slowly reveal they are threats. The way they force others to take them into consideration because they SHOULD BE.
THE WAY THAT THE SPOT LOOKS LIKE MILES SELF PORTRAIT FROM THE FIRST MOVIE THAT REPRESENTS WHO HE IS-
PURE CINEMA.
The real anomaly is why tf people are simping more over Miguel O'Hara (conventionally attractive male) than over The Spot (absolutely morally fucked up silly humanoid figure) is this Tumblr or Wattpad, guys?
