a lot of the wildflowers have gone to seed and now it’s time for grasshoppers.
today near the creek I almost stepped on a water moccasin. 😑 luckily for me it just took off back into the brush.
what I finished reading in May…
- Quest of the Three Worlds by Cordwainer Smith
- How to Meditate: A Practical Guide to Making Friends With Your Mind by Pema Chödrön
- The Puppet Masters by Robert A. Heinlein
- Double Star by Robert A. Heinlein
- Static & Snow by Brian Henry
- The Red Book by Carl G. Jung trans. by Sonu Shamdasani, John Peck, Mark Kyburz edited by Sonu Shamdasani
- What's Eating the Universe? by Paul Davies
- In Code: A Mathematical Journey by Sarah & David Flannery
- Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity by Kim Scott (this was required reading for work lol)
I’ve been feeling nostalgic thus the Heinlein… these early works of his did NOT age well imo.
I bought this teeny tiny frame at the antique market awhile ago and drew a quick little portrait of my half-elf alter ego for it
