I’ve always liked the headcanon that Thranduil and Oropher were the ones who rescued Elwing after the Second Kinslaying. So here is a young Thranduil carrying baby Elwing while a grim and determined Oropher leads the way ; w ;
I guess you can view this as a direct continuation of this piece I drew of Dior giving Elwing the Silmaril before sending her away. The cloak she’s wearing is Luthien’s hair cloak. I headcanon that it can shrink or grow to fit the wearer as long as they’re of Luthien’s line.
