a lot of people tend to confuse cats showing their belly for belly rubs, but it’s actually only something dogs do, for cats its a sign of respect and trust, they are not expecting to get pet, so when they do it’s not uncommon they get startled or think its play fight, of course there are expectations and some cats who ADORES belly rubs

Is the season almost over?
Watched the latest 3 or so episodes of SU:Future and…*long protracted sigh*.
Why is it like this? Why are they setting Steven up to be the final boss? My thoughts are all over the place but if I can distill it down to a sentence: “Why are Steven’s past achievements now being treated like horrible abuse?”
The show wasted way too much time with filler, and never framed the dangerous situations Steven went through as traumatic for him. So why now?
Why is Steven having a mental breakdown because he couldn’t goad Connie into becoming a perma-fusion? Why was he so stupid that he thought proposing something more serious than marriage was a good idea instead of just asking her to be his gf? Is Steven really that dumb? Guess so.
Steven had 2 magical fairy lesbians (I count Amethyst as a sister) and a dad who loved him his entire life aaaand none of them asked him if he was okay? Actually they probably did but past Steven was probably actually okay with everything. He didn’t care about school and never wanted to go to school even though Greg really should have put him through school. He had a job and free childcare, there is no reason why that didn’t happen.
It’s obvious the writers regret the entire notion of future vision too as it’s so heavily situational Garnet might as well not have it. She knows there was no future where Steven wouldn’t propose to Connie yet somehow she isn’t seeing Steven lose his fucking mind. Hmmm yeah okay that seems feasible.
The writing is using trauma to excuse Steven’s petty asshole behavior, you don’t write a bad hurt/comfort fanfic and then also have the bad taste to make us sympathize with the idiot causing all the problems because uwu muh childhood twauma. The trauma that didn’t exist until now.
The training and shattering of Jasper would have been much more powerful if the diamonds were still evil and Steven was trying to get stronger to fight them, and saw what his strength could do to people and it freaked him out. But now it just feels hollow as I can’t understand the source of Steven’s angst. Even if he can’t control his powers that’s not a good enough reason to shun his family, the gems, the only ones who can actually help him.
ALSO. Big friggin also. The diamonds…just…those creatures.
Why are they so different now? In what, the span of a few months at most? Why are they so “Wise and knowing” now? Where did this wisdom come from?
Trying to sympathize with the diamonds is impossible because everything about them is unfeasible in my mind. No matter how nice they are I can’t excuse their past.
They changed from bad to good like taking over planets, torturing their subjects, and coldly executing defective gems was just a shitty retail job they hated, but now they get to be the loving guidance counselors they were always meant to be! Such a wondrous and incredible change in just a couple of years! (Last sentence is mean spirited sarcasm)
How did they even… get an empire if they flip flop that easily? Were they just bored? Was White just bored and said one day “I’m tired of being a rock I will be a SPACE ROCK EMPEROR!”
And then she became Hitler?
I was a dummy for believing the final season of this show would have substance. But oh well at least I got to see Spinel again.
