FYI Radfem DOESN’T necessarily mean TERF though, so like. Be careful about assuming that? The reason the TE is in that acronym is to describe a certain type of radical feminism. The term “radical” is to distinguish from “liberal” feminism.
Like Catherine MacKinnon, a supreme of radical feminism if there is one, did an interview with transadvocate (warning that her language is a little outdated) and said that trans people are working against society’s obsession with “the lie that gender is sex-based, meaning biologically-determined.” She also says, “My basic feeling, with Simone de Beauvoir, is “one is not born, one rather becomes a woman.” How one becomes a woman is not, I think, our job to police, even as everything about that process is worth inquiry and detailed understanding... To be a woman, one does have to live women’s status. Transwomen are living it, and in my experience bring a valuable perspective on it as well.” In case those quotes aren’t clear enough, she says: “Anybody who identifies as a woman, wants to be a woman, is going around being a woman, as far as I'm concerned, is a woman.” Andrea Dworkin, another leading radical feminist, has also been trans-inclusive basically her entire career.
