I hope this isn’t stupid or selfish, but I’m Yah Yah, a 21 year old autistic Black person living at home with my parents and younger sibling. I write and freelance but I don’t make much money. My dad does contracting and my mom is disabled and unemployed. Money is slow at the best of times, entirely unexistent at the worst; I handle the emergencies. This is sort of a ‘just in case’ fund, so I can have money backed up in case my dad’s jobs (or this unemployment check) doesn’t come through.
