Bob Iger announced that Disney is going to absorb Hulu, and Hulu will no longer exist next year. All shows will move to the Disney+ app.
Disney also announced they were going to remove shows and movies periodically from their streaming services.
I believe both of these moves are because of the Writers Strike.
Disney knows its going to lose the strike. There is too much public support. Specifically, the WGA is going to win writers getting more residuals from streaming.
So if Disney takes shows off of streaming, they dont have to pay the writers the residuals.
They are going to use excuses like "not enough funding for the server capacity" or "not enough views to warrent keeping the show". These are BULLSHIT. Its all greed. Its only GREED.
Pay attention to what happens in the following weeks.
And keep supporting the writers' strike.
watching the 2018 milwaukee ballet production of dracula and y'all the dracula/jonathan pas de deux is amazing
it's beautiful and creepy and sensual and horrifying all at the same time
crap, i don't know enough dance terminology to make this coherent, but the way they've been utilizing going en pointe in act 2 is fascinating. like, aside from when they're doing turns and stuff like that, all the women are walking around on the flat part like regular people. but then dracula bursts in and everyone is down in the dark except lucy, who is now on her tippy toes and basically floating across the floor to him in a trance and the contrast is so eerie

continuing the trend of being both sensual and beautiful and horrifying, the drac+lucy pas de deux is also fantastic.
also, repeated theme the way dracula just kind of flings them around at times, like they're not dance partners but just toys to be played with and literally tossed aside. in the jonathan one he just like yote him 15 feet or something crazy across the stage, and in this one he's just positioning her like a ragdoll, the choreo is so good

My child, teenage you is a child with hormones and maybe some money. The world seems simpler that way, you have a better hang of things because you understand sex now. You build idealism, values, dreams. Good for you.
But once you trip into adulthood and independence? Boom. You realize shit’s complicated. The job you wanted? Hope it’s in demand and still valued. Everything, EVERYTHING has a cost and no one gives a shit about your values- pay the cost or you get nothing.
Rent, mortgage, insurance, loans, payments on anything you can imagine. There’s new things for every phase of life- joint accounts, child rearing, pet expenses, retirement planning for you AND your parents, 401ks, Roth IRAs, the list goes fucking on. The internet makes it easier, but goddamn there’s so much misinformation and so much you can only learn from experience. There is so much you are not taught- you are forever going to figure it the fuck out.
You’d think this means you’ll become an adult- a fully well rounded individual with shit figured out.. You can only hope maturity comes with struggle, but the struggle can also permanently infantilize adults with resentment. Some people stay children forever, very few of us get to grow up, accept realities and live the best we can. Just give yourself the grace, space, and understanding.
You will never, always, have everything in place. You can only do the best you can. That’s okay. And okay is wonderful.

Ron DeSantis just kidnapped a 13-year old boy.
Earlier this evening, at around 7 PM CT U.S., Rebekah Jones (notably one of DeSantis’ biggest political enemies right now) underwent a raid on her home by state police.
Guns were pointed in the face of her 13-year old son, Jack. They arrested him under the charges of digital terrorism and “on state orders.”
They are refusing to let him go home and they are refusing to let Jones see him.
