🤔 It's probably the really dull and expected answer but I'd probably go Lucifer x Dream. Atleast to start off with. They've got such a chemistry in their shared panels. Plus it's completely different dynamic to any of the show ships. I'd love to explore how they both seek escapism from their duty, maybe help each other. Then there's always the, make them worse trope. Imagine Morpheus prince consort of Hell. 😏 Lucifer Morningstar Lord Regent of Nightmares.

Wait I originally put this in tags but it got in my brain and I don’t feel like working so…

Pharamond is handsome, suave, a god, and one who likes Morpheus. The feeling is also apparently mutual since Morpheus was the one who gave Pharamond the advice that kept him from dying out along with the rest of his pantheon.

There’s also this:

Morpheus is not at all phased at finding Pharamond in the bath, and Pharamond doesn’t object to Morpheus looking.

I said in the tags before but I could absolutely see a super fun fic where cool, worldly Pharamond seduces a stoic, unemotive Morpheus.

Okay so have you listened to these scenes in the Sandman on Audible? Because they are... um... well, they made CHOICES.

It comes across so heated. The voice actor for Pharamond really plays it up how much affection he has for Morpheus. Its almost Ferdie Kingsley levels of pining and I dont say that lightly. The way James McAvoy delivers the "Babylon was a long time ago Pharamond" line comes across pretty telling imo. It implies that something happened between them in Babylon and I have been a bit fascinated by this ship ever since.

Anyway its interesting how the comic puts so much emphasis on Morpheus not having friends (other than Hob) and when we meet other characters who might fall into that category it turns out nope, they are just either ex or potential lovers. Titania = ex lover. Lady Bast = potential lover (she is in love with him). And Pharamond = ?

Im telling you something happened in Babylon. It wasnt just advice and the drinking of wine. The "drinking of wine" here is a euphamism 100%. Pharamond and Morpheus had a thing. Its the only reason Morpheus would deign to save the life of a god anyway (sorry but he is basically the universes biggest dick).

So yeah I do hope that we meet Pharamond in the show and I hope his actor takes a leaf out of Ferdie's book and plays up the sexual tension with Tom Sturridge to the nth degree so we can all go a bit feral over them. :)
