When we talk about nostalgia we generally talk about our childhood, but what’s something fairly recent-ish you’re somehow already nostalgic for? 🌈
#in 2021 I started watching Game of Thrones with a friend/guy I was kind of seeing. I don't miss him or the rest of the friend group#but I get nostalgic for the drive to the city where he lived and how we'd drive around lisening to music and finding some place cool to eat#and then sit on the couch watching a show that was absolutely blowing my dragon-loving mind#also when animal crossing new horizons first came out in 2020 and I was off work and stuck in the apartment and would play AC and watch#old shows for hours#slightly further back but I get nostalgic for when I was like 20 and would stay up until like 3am playing Fallout 4#because it was the best thing I had in my life#additionally unrelated but the other day my BF and I were sitting on our patio feeding the geese and he put his arm around me and said#''we'll miss this one day''#and it made me smile because I say/think that all the time and he didn't know that
oh, hot summer nights walking through neighborhoods while the sun is setting at 8pm and everything is a little orange and smells like cookouts and swimming pool chlorine when the wind blows

Her name was “Strawberrybirdmon” (really) and she didn’t have any special role in the community, she was just a designated “baby” and lived with one of the toy families as the other digimon delegated as babies did. Her special digimon power was that “basking in her presence” could make anything you cooked/baked taste really sweet, so any time someone in the toy kingdom wanted to bake something they’d comically go knock on the family’s door and ask if they could touch the baby. The running gag was that the family had a slew of ridiculous excuses why you couldn’t come in, and you had to come up with an equally ridiculous reason to debunk the excuse.
#the best part is that I think we actually knew this one's name and just gave her our own#so she could match the rest in the bag that we didn't know#the memories of the toy kingdom always make me want to write down the ridiculous stories but then I look at this and am like#oh yeah#this is absolute nonsense#digimon
