Pill Poppin Penis Lovin Satan’s Girl

@noonetoldyalifewasgonnabthisway

Me: Yeah Jayvik is a cute ship in fanon, but I don't think there's any sign of it becoming canon to any degree sadly :/

Canon:

  • When Jayce and Viktor meet Mel, the camera focusses on Jayce watching her leave with a fawning expression, meanwhile Viktor watches Jayce with a twinge of sadness.
  • The way Jayce puts him arm around Viktor and says "You should come up with me, we're partners" and Viktor begins to refuse, but he hesitates slightly after looks into Jayce's eyes like this
  • The way Jayce and Mel's sex scene was intercut with not just Viktor dying, but Viktor rejecting affection from a woman who clearly had interest in him. Both because his project had taken over his life, but also perhaps a sign that his romantic interests lay elsewhere. He could have what Jayce has (romantic/sexual intimacy with a woman) but he doesn't want it.
  • How in that very same scene as Jayce and Mel climaxed, Viktor collapsed as though wounded or hurt by their act, betrayed even. The way the camera cuts from the scenes of intimacy, to Viktor's eyes made me question whether Viktor was witnessing Jayce and Mel. It was a scene that felt like betrayal despite both events being completely unconnected.
  • The way we cut from Mel lying alone in her bed after Jayce left abruptly, to the perfect parallel of Viktor in his hospital bed with Jayce waiting by his side.
  • That it is constantly shown as a choice for Jayce. To choose between Mel or Viktor, but he can't have both. That the two are seen as equally as important to him and it is an intense struggle for him to make that choice.
  • When Viktor looks at Jayce like this.
  • When Jayce confronts Ambessa, and is forced to watch her be intimate with her boytoy that bears a resemblance to Viktor (especially with the exact same placement of a mole), and Jayce becomes agitated quickly.
  • The betrayed/affronted expression Viktor gives when Mel suggests military action in Zaun, and Mel outright ignores his protest and tries to convince Jayce, to which Jayce stands to speak with Mel, effectively cutting Viktor (who is sat down) out of the exchange. The sense of rivalry between Mel and Viktor, as though competing for the same man.
  • "There is Always a choice" Viktor says, after Mel leaves. Indirectly asking Jayce to choose his way forward, and by extension, to choose him rather than Mel.
  • They are each other's saviours.

Me: Oh.

•Made in Glory | Viktor x Fem!Reader
Part 10
Summary: You try to heal, what has been broken for so many years.
Warnings: Mentions death
Pairing: Viktor x fem!reader
Word Count: 1675
A/N: Another sad one... oops
-----

The night seemed to slip from you. After you held Viktor, and his tears dried up, he shut himself off from you. He said nothing, just wanting to be alone. A part of you thought that it was not a good idea to leave Viktor alone, but nothing you whispered to him helped convince him to let you stay. You were filled with mixed emotions. Your head screamed to tell him that he should have listened to you, to destroy the Hexcore. You had warned him, telling him nothing good was to come from it. But your heart overpowered your head. Viktor was hurt, drained, weak. He used it to protect himself, to heal the unknown illness that plagued his body, killing him slowly. The dull purple glow of his leg, the one that was never good and caused him to have a brace and cane, was healing on its own now, because of the Hexcore. Now his right hand, the same purple glow as it no longer held the hue of his pale soft skin.

You found yourself drawn back to the city as people passed you. Your hood covered your face as you tried to breathe, trying to lock in on where Viktor would be. With your boots hitting the slick stone that shinned from the rain the night before, you found yourself down by the gutters. Not far from the Academy, it was a familiar place to you. You had been here a few times before, with Viktor. He told you stories of how when he was a boy, sitting in the sun, working on whatever little toy he made work like new. The view looked out over the Lanes, the home of Viktor. Hearing the water drip from the ceiling, you turned the dark corner as the opening held two shadows. The sun was shining on such a sorrowful day. Jayce stood next to Viktor as you slowly approached. The soft sounds of gears and things moving surrounded you as you looked between the gears to the men in the light. Hearing your footsteps, Jayce turned and looked over his shoulder. He gave a frown and turned back to Viktor, who was hunched on his cane, looking out into the valley of the undercity.

My thoughts on climate change and animal agriculture

The most common aspect of animal ag people attack when discussing climate change is greenhouse gas emissions. However, animal production only accounts for an estimated 4% of total emissions annually, with all agriculture total only contributing 9%, according to the EPA. The dairy industry in particular has drastically decreased their greenhouse gas emissions on farms since the 1990s using breeding practices selecting for more feed efficient and productive cows, manure handling (lagoons and methane trapping and conversion into fuel). The dairy industry produces the second most emissions second to beef cattle. Another way to combat this in America is to replace beef with other meats like pork and goat.

Livestock also only accounts for 1% of all water used in the United States annually (taken from the Utah Geological Survey website). Not much can be done about this issue, but one tactic is using cattle breeds that use less water - zebu (exotic) breeds like gyrs and Brahmans. By breeding Brahmans with the black angus, the most popular beef breed in The United States, we create cattle (called brangus) that drink less water but still produce high-demand meat.

Focusing on these two aspects detracts from, in my opinion, the biggest environmental concern pertaining to animal agriculture - land use. 26% of total available land on earth is used for livestock grazing according to the EPA. With humans continuing to encroach on wild lands, land is certainly becoming a limited resource. However, a way we can combat this problem is raising animals in barns and feedlots, which a lot of people argue do not meet animal welfare standards.

Another bigger concern pertaining to regular crop production is soil health. We are estimated to lose all phosphorus stores in the soil by 2050. We are losing our top soil due to large-scale farming with little regard to soil health. However, no-till farming has been instituted in many farms across the United States to combat soil erosion. With phosphorus stores, however, livestock can be part of the solution. Animal manure is rich in phosphorus, meaning we can use composted manure from existing farms and ranches as crop fertilizer as well as implement rotational grazing as a part of regular crop production.

Pertaining to my last paragraph, waste management is another environmental concern, with high amounts of waste from mostly beef feedlots seeping into ground water or runoff from farms ending up in ponds and lakes causing large algae blooms. Luckily, implementing waste management programs is becoming more commonplace and with inventions like waste lagoons, we are chipping away at this problem.

This is by no means all the information available about this topic, but I tried to keep it short. It is also by no means an unflawed portrayal of information (for example notice the EPA is most of my sources), but forgive me for not wanting to write a full research paper on tumblr :). This is also by no means “the truth”, these are just things I have learned and my personal opinions as an animal sciences student and a dairy farmer. There are definitely aspects of animal production that are contributing to climate change. But if we are going to talk about them, we should be focusing on the larger problems here, even if they’re not as fun to talk about as emissions and water usage.

veganism is only gaining popularity and gathering sympathy because they have catchy slogans and use fearful rhetoric since their opinions aren’t backed by enough real evidence

Church nativity scene puts the holy family in cages, because that's how America deals with asylum-seekers like Christ

Jesus and his fam were refugees, so it’s only fitting that the folks at Claremont United Methodist Church decided to put its nativity figures in cages behind razorwire.

As Rev Karen Clark Ristine said, Jesus, Mary and Joseph were “the most well-known refugee family in the world. What if this family sought refuge in our country today? Imagine Joseph and Mary separated at the border and Jesus no older than two taken from his mother and placed behind the fences of a Border Patrol detention center.”

A separate nativity inside the church reunites the family. Nearly 70,000 children were imprisoned by the US government for seeking asylum in 2019.

Current conservative US Christians would call a modern-Jesus an infestation and an illegal, and the NRA would market guns to protect yourself from people like Jesus.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL FOR ANYONE WHO USES “BLUEBUFFALO” FOR THEIR DOGS!!

And cats.  Blue Buffalo killed @sidneystrange ‘s cat.

THIS THIS THIS!!

I’ve been telling everyone I know for YEARS not to buy Blue Buffalo.

This is the short story:

A few years ago I took my sick cat, Ankh, to the vet. The vet and vet tech asked what I fed her. I told them Blue Buffalo. They looked like I had just told them I fed her razor blades and cyanide. They diagnosed her with pancreatitis and said that nearly all of the cats they’d been seeing lately with pancreatitis were being fed Blue Buffalo.  They gave her medicine and sent her home.  Two days later she had a seizure and died right in my arms.

The day after she died Hannibal started displaying the same symptoms she had so I panicked hard and took him to the vet.  Got the same meds and the same diagnosis.  Luckily Hannibal survived.

I wish Ankh had survived. She was only ten and the best cat I’ve ever had. Literally the best and five years later I still cry when I think about her.

FUCK BLUE BUFFALO.

I don’t know the full story behind the tweets above, but a Google search shows there HAVE been several recalls regarding this brand, especially in 2016. I would absolutely avoid as it is not worth the risk.

Good god thank you so much for sharing this because I’ve lately been considering switching to this brand cus it’s supposed to be so much better than all the others but good god what the hell.

I worked in a vet for a little while and I shit you not, when a dog came in with constant diarrhea they were always eating Blue Buffalo. We changed the food and the dog got better every time. Blue Buffalo is garbage food and never feed it to your pets.

I’ve never heard of this brand but I love my dog with all of my heart and I’d be broken if I ever accidently fed her this and got her sick (people give me different dog food to try all the time). I’d hate for anyone else to lose their pet also.

um?? what the fuck? holy FUCK my boyfriend and I were just about to start feeding our cat blue buffalo omg

Wft really?? Im never going to buy that killer food!! Praying for your pets!

I’m so glad I know this, I’d be heartbroken if my dog died

With recent research on dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs being linked to grain-free diets, Blue Buffalo is one of the top ten on the list of most common foods to cause DCM! DON’T FEED BLUE BUFFALO

In High School Musical 2 Sharpay very clearly states that they have “…Iced tea imported from England, life guards imported from Spain, towels imported from Turkey, and turkey imported from Maine.” In order to import an item, it must come from another country. The series is set in Albequerque, New Mexico, and as New Mexico and Maine are both part of the United States Of America, they cannot have their turkey imported from Maine. As most of the characters are white, and all speak English, this clearly indicates that High School Musical takes place in an alternate universe where a second Civil War has split the nation and New Mexico is no longer part of the Union, based on the fact that we never see the characters celebrate the Fourth of July. In this essay I will
