Another thing about the Titan that I enjoyed was how he's so fundamentally different from Belos's christian idea of god. She's bigender. She's super chill and takes the appearance of a 40 something dad when talking to mortals. That loud, disruptive woman who is bi, commits treason, and refuses to fall in line? Yeah He's been watching her and is a huge fan. She loves bread puns and uses his powers to make magic more accesible for everyone. He trusts a 14 year old girl with the power of god to save the world and defeat the white, straight man who came to colonize his world.
Honestly, the Titan is more like the CanonChristian!God than Belos' FanonChristian!God.
Biblically, God is non-binary, loves women who resist abusive authority and commit treason to save the oppressed (Jael, anyone?), wants to be seen as a loving father, chill but also deeply emotional, against colonizers. Belos' idea of God isn't a true Christian one, it's more of a Puritan one. Strict, cold, driven by fear... His idea is simply so inaccurate to what the Christian God is SUPPOSED to be. As the Titan said, Belos is not doing these things for God or for "souls". He's doing all these things so HE can be the hero in a world that scares him. I didn't consider how much the Titan is more similar in his character to the actual biblical God and I think it's...unintentional but kinda sweet. I love them more now.
