If you can't wash it off, paint over it, replace the item, or buff it out, turn a message of hate into one of love! I would never condone someone to do this discreetly and in mere seconds with a quickly concealed permanent marker, for example on a public bench or bus stop. Certainly not anything like whipping out a tat machine and adding to an unconscious white supremacist's existing tattoo. That would be illegal! :) And, dear followers, I would never encourage you to do something that's illegal. So, please only use this when someone has defaced your personal property to avoid breaking the law! Because that would be illegal, and following in the law is always in everyone's best interest. :) .... :) reblogs and even reposts definitely welcome

Regarding the DnD Orc posts:
What would be a less problematic way of describing a fantasy “race”/“species” that is meant to be “evil” and “vile”, (because maybe they were created by a evil deity to cause havoc etc).
#honestQuestion
you're positing an inherently paradoxical project mate. "how do i construct a fictional Type of Person who is ontologically evil, whose murder is prima facie acceptable or even laudable, while unimpacted by the titanic weight of historical discourses that did the exact same rhetorical work in service of real-world violences?" -- the answer is that you've invented an impossible task!
there is no fantasy of uncomplicated and meritorious ethnic violence that is neatly separable from the historical context those fantasies are produced in. that's just the way it is. genuinely, i feel compelled to ask--not because i want to hear the answer, but because i want you and others to think about this--why is this a fantasy you’re so desperate to salvage?
re: that posed last question -- why this fantasy? -- i recently read this short essay that uses necropolitical theory to analyze the function of orcs and similar 'evil races' in games and thought it was useful.
A recurring anguish in certain circles of fantasy roleplaying involves the never-ending search for ethical, commendable, heroic murder. This often externalized as an issue of the murdered party, the one fantasized murderer ever the silent passive subject; a quest for an intrinsic quality of the murder victim that makes it A Good. This is phrased and re-phrased in variants of the same question: What would be an acceptable target for my character to kill in a dungeon?
for a peek into the etiology of ontological essentialism as it pervades TTRPGs I have to recommend Charles W. Mills’ The Wretched of Middle Earth: An Orkish Manifesto as an analysis of how Tolkien was able to establish orcs as ontologically null for the express purpose of being killed en masse. you can, of course, trace a direct path from the mythos Tolkien set up and the widespread practice of constructing entire populations as essentially evil for the sake of gameplay:
For the genocide of the orcs is, of course, part of the climactic victory over Sauron and Mordor. Yet if it were to be suggested to the average reader of the book that it ends with a great crime, the claim would probably meet with complete bewilderment. The killing of the orcs generates no moral concern (either for the Allies or the vast majority of readers and critics) because, of course, the orcs have been successfully depersonized by Tolkien, rendered as ontological zeros. The pen here prepares the way for the sword. Indeed, a case could be made that LTR should be required reading for courses in the literature of genocide, for precisely because of the celebrated “reality” of Middle-Earth, it becomes possible to watch, in synoptic overview, the construction of an epistemology that makes mass murder possible.
How has this been done? To begin with, there is the denial of history and geographical rootedness to the orcs—almost, one could say, the denial of time and space. The density of detail and cross-referencing which give Middle-Earth its solidity and reality are deliberately withheld from the orcs in keeping with their ontological shallowness. Certainly, there are no genealogical tables, no accounts of culture and history, no etymological speculations about their languages, no maps of their territory. The orcs are defined simply by negation, as the antipode to white culture and civilization.
and:
The average reader does not perceive these inconsistencies, does not feel in any way disturbed by the systematic slaughter of the orcs, because, as I have suggested, Tolkien is in many ways simply retelling an old tale. The racially-differentiated structure of LTR’s moral and juridical codes simply reproduces actual historical earthly norms, going back at least to the Crusades, where “the same behavior, considered objectively, was ‘persecution’ when it was perpetrated against, and not when it was perpetrated by, the Christians.” Similarly, the fantastic kill-ratios and body-counts of LTR—the party in Moria killing thirteen orcs at the cost of a scratch to Sam (FR, 422), Boromir single-handedly dispatching twenty orcs before succumbing (TT, 18), Gimli’s grisly orc-killing contest with Legolas, which he eventually wins 42 to 41 (TT, 188)—are made both normatively acceptable and fictionally plausible by the racially-coded non-personhood of the orcs.
Its all “i love putting guys in situations” until were on a filler episode. Where are the REAL putting guys in situations lovers.
“It dosent progress the plot!!!” Have you never been on a whimsical journey that did nothing to change you as a person.
alright so during into the spider-verse's introduction to peter b. parker, we see his wedding, and he stomps on the wine glass right? this is a jewish wedding tradition, which makes this version of peter parker jewish (further confirmed in interviews -- however, i believe this is enough by itself). it's a nice nod to the jewish roots of the character.
we get to see a bunch of peter parkers throughout the spider-verse films, and none of them have any explicit religious associations like peter b. parker. except for one!
here we have gwen stacy's peter parker and aunt may, from earth-65, saying grace over a meal. from my understanding, this is generally a christian practice -- in judaism, we prefer to say short prayers before eating, and save the long, in-depth ones for afterwards. so to me, this was a clear example of the character being coded as christian. i was a little disappointed that they didn't make peter parker jewish here too, but since across the spider-verse discusses variants and the differences between instances of the same person between different universes, i interpreted this as a continued commentary on peter parker's ethnicity -- although he was initially jewish-coded and one of his two creators, stan lee, is jewish, this is often erased, especially in more modern interpretations of the character.
and then i remembered that this peter parker also literally turns into the lizard.
and y'know what? good call on that one guys.

Alternative readings are good, I say, while grinding my teeth because I don’t like this particular one
It makes for a healthy fandom ecosystem to have a variety of takes, I say, while halfway to seethingly daydreaming how I would carpet bomb this take out of existence if I could.
Won’t lie, if I were having a rough time and the office himbos brought me mac and cheese I would be cured.

if I lived in Tortall and became a lady knight my big distinction would be that I can be the first female knight that enjoys gossiping and parties and all the other stuff Tammy can’t help herself from 😑ing at because she hates it so much lmao
“So wait, they’re giving out free food and drinks in the great hall and all I have to do is wear an outfit and stand around and listen to assholes talk about themselves while occasionally taking my turn to yammer on about my thoughts on the realm? Say less, I’m sprinting back from this practice court as we speak”
Raoul/Alanna/Kel/Buri/etc: Ugh I am being forced to go to this awful event, I must find a way out of it, oh the suffering!
Me: There’s appetizers and an open bar, right? Oh, a full meal? Like a multi course meal or like a buffet? A full service meal with multiples courses and table service?? Fuck yes, count me in
This post brought to you by the very few Tammy fans who do not identify as quiet, hyper-competent, oft-overlooked badasses, and instead ID as loud, annoying, “eh it’s good enough”, and “no you’re not overlooking me you’re looking directly at me and yes this is all of it, there’s not a hidden depth you’re seeing it all” lmao
In my first job, I often had to attend events on behalf of my boss. He was too busy to go to events he was invited to, so I would go, tell people I was from his office, and essentially make him look good by being charming. The best nights of my several year career in this office were when I had to go to sit-down meals and rub elbows with political power players.
I would've THRIVED at a Tortall banquet, is all I'm saying.
