today im thinking about the huge buff bread guy from kikis delivery service. highly underrated guy

Genuinely just a good man. Wife adopts teenage witch that needs a place to stay in the city? Sure. Even though you got a kid on the way? That’s fine. Cat too? Love cats.

My favorite moment with him is when he goes to get some prepped baking sheets and he does this fancy twirl with them in front of Jiji. Like, there’s no other people in the room, he does this to impress a cat.

I don’t think he ever says more than a whole word the entire movie, and I still love him more than most Disney princes based on this one moment alone.

And the part where he wanted to surprise Kiki by making that beautiful elaborate sign OUT OF BREAD to advertise her business and he was all anxious for her to get home and see it

But then when he sees her coming he gets all bashful and runs away 😭

the most underrated thing about the ghibli movies is how deeply they are love stories to working people, to the small folk, to moments of love and kindness. its not just about magic, many movies are about magic and fairytales. Its not only about the people in the stories, but about stories in the people. And they are just loveable.

So like, does anyone else ever just feel the urge to burn a shit tonne of DVDs? Keep 'em in a big ol' DVD wallet/book for no reason other than being offline and sharing the media if you no longer want it? Like, if I pay to buy a movie on Amazon that's not available on Prime, for example, if I no longer want it, I can't just give it to a friend or even sell it on to recoup some of the cost. ALL of the money goes to the corporations and leaves the community. And also this constant need to be connected. Streaming movies and music, what if I don't wanna be online or pay every month? I'm not saying that it's necessarily bad, but I think the lack of offline alternatives is.

the best thing totk did was make link unbearably tiny. he is two apples tall. a ladybug could crush him. everyone else is a mountain to him. he literally is Just A Little Guy

Link is a Hylian of few words, he wouldn’t dare inconvenience Sidon with his feelings for him. Especially not in the middle of a nationwide disaster. Besides… Sidon is already engaged to someone else.

Sidon is a Zora of too many words, but he wouldn’t dare let Link know his true feelings for him. Besides… it wouldn’t be fair to Link, because Sidon is engaged to someone else.

IF YOU ARE READING MY OTHER SIDLINK COMICS THERE IS NO ORDER IM SORRY IM JUST MAKING THEM UP AS I GO

So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.

AI art bros are big mad about it.

I've been applying my brain to the problem of how to poison the datasets from day 1, are you kidding me? It's possibly the ONLY way to stop this and it's self-defense. And no it doesn't need to be marked any more than a house with a gun under the bed needs to put up a sign that says "don't rob us, we have a gun". Chew on other people's stuff and break your teeth.
