cleared my threadtracker and am revamping my muses because i have no inspiration for ~ any ~ of them

“Fine. He was doing his job. So I guess that means I can’t be mad at him. Why do you have to be right.” Leia shook her head. “I swear though, Ethan. If he even breathes wrong at me I’m not dread queen for nothing. Persephone has given me some talents.”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊     “ and i’m sure hecate has given her son some. “ he teases with a small smile. it’s a gentle tease, “ lune suspects that there’s something dark around the your family right now. he’s bothered by how suddenly so many deities seem to be...fixated on them. your grandparents don’t trust lune all that much either, so he wants us to...basically put a good word in for him. as people who work with him. assure them that he’s not trying to do anything to harm anyone. because right now your grandfather doesn’t really want to let him within a kilometer of the main house.  ”

“I can be plenty angry at him because sure, he didn’t do that, but he didn’t act like a father to you.” Leia points out. “He should have been a father to you, and he wasn’t. Even thinking of that man makes me upset. You didn’t deserve that.”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊     ethan has long since come to terms with his father’s actions - and his family’s actions by extension - however unjust they were, “ right. just as namgi didn’t deserve to be abandoned to the point where he became the angry spirit he is. my father should have found him centuries ago. lune was just trying to rectify the mistake in the best way he knew how before namgi became an actual problem. that’s all lune’s ever trying to do - his job. “

“Why does Lune want my cooperation anyway? I don’t have to like him. What does it matter?” She sighs. “If you believe my anger is misplaced, then who should it be directed toward? Anyone? The gods?”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊    “i think you shouldn’t be angry at all. but if have to be, be angry at my father for dropping the ball with...everything in his life and his work before lune threw him out of the council. ”

“I can’t be angry at you, Ethan.” Leia sighs, thinks for a moment. She does have to be more reasonable, and Ethan does have a point. She’ll have to see souls in her own way, not to the span that Ethan and Lune have to deal with them. “He obviously didn’t become a huge problem. But what if it ends up as someone else close to us? What if Haneul was at the gate? Or Reese?”

“Okay, so I know you don’t like flowers. So I’d really like to know what you like.” Skipper gives a small smile, holding out a cup of coffee. “I’m…also not sure if you like coffee, I just…thought it’d be nice today.”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊    she takes the cup from him, “ i am more partial to green tea, but i do enjoy coffee on occasion. thank you. cut flowers are pointless as gifts. they’re a waste of space and die quickly. what’s good about a gift like that ?? gifts should be tangible. practical. i don’t like things that are wasteful. “

“My ange-Ethan, he wanted to send Namgi off. I can’t be angry at him for scaring my best friend like that?” Somehow, she’s fallen more into her role. “I have yet to have a conversation with him that wasn’t scowly.”

“What did he want?” Leia scowls, looking out her grandmother’s window. “I know technically we’re supposed to work together but I’d rather gouge my eyes out.”

“Define like.” He’s a bit of a stickler for rules, having done this council thing nearly all of time. “I believe I may be on at least settled rules with Ethan. Leia, on the other hand.” He sighs. “Persephone really is a vengeful woman, my mother warned me about that. She does not like me because I was doing my job and told Ethan to send her friend Namgi to Kharon. Except now I’ve had to promote that vengeful spirit.”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊   “ wow you are...really good at making enemies. no wonder i’m your only friend. ” his tone is teasing, an attempt at lightening the mood and lift spirits. though he’s unsure how successful he is, “ i think...the thing to remember is that you’re still dealing with people. even if they are touched like me, or reincarnates of your mother’s friends and family, there’s still human parts of them. and humans are sensitive. you tried to take her friend away, so i understand her being upset. if you never talked to her after trying to do that, then she’s definitely got unresolved feelings towards you.  with people, you can’t just cause your damage and then disappear. you have to resolve things and work with them...people are harder than deities, lune.  ” 

“I don’t exactly know how ‘yes, my mother knows something is up and wants me to investigate all of you’ would go down. But I see what you’re saying.” Annoying, truly. He just wanted to be able to not be a threat but it seemed as though it was near impossible. “They should trust me. Ethan and Leia are council members.”

“I can’t really…help that.” Confused, truly. “I mean, you know who my mother is. I can’t just turn that power off…”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊  hiro sighs, but laughs a little, “ alright...i don’t know if you can imagine this, but imagine that you had a child. and then someone was lingering around who made your child uncomfortable. i know you’d smite them immediately, but think about the reason why you’d smite them. you’d do it because they’re making your baby uncomfortable and scared and you don’t know what they might do. it’s... the same with the parks. they have a whole family and children they care for. you can be...kind of dangerous. so they’re cautious. if you want them to not see you as a threat, you have to give them reason to. that’s...how friendships and trust work. i have reason to trust you, you just have to give them reason as well. “

“Do people just not understand that I don’t mean any harm?” He raises an eyebrow. “I have every justification to kill anything where it stands, and I haven’t.”

“I’m not dealing with it, whatever it is.” The elder council member sighs, leaning back in his chair. “Especially if it has to do with the Parks. For some reason, they see me as an enemy.”

»» ━━ •◦❥• ┊  hiro is caught slightly off guard by the statement “ you do just sort of linger around places and show up unexpectedly sometimes. i’d be suspicious of you, too if i were them.”

nam hi ro, 25.  have you ever seen a rainbow in the sky? chances are, hiro painted it up there. cute, cheery, traveled boy who grew up covered in paint and markers. scribbled on walls and floors to the point where his parents stopped being able to get security deposits back whenever they moved from one rental to another. the only thing he painted more than his room was his hair - years of bleaching and dying and experimentation made hiro the go to friend when you wanted something done to your hair. and so - in between art commissions and helping friends with their hair, hiro took a twelve month program after high school to get licensed and started working at a salon part time. and then his ability to paint a pastel rainbow into people’s hair got him more attention than he anticipated. now, years later hiro co-owns a salon with a former classmate and has kept his part time schedule so he can pursue other artistic ventures - such as transforming his studio apartment and simply living life as vibrantly and joyfully as possible. loves to smile, loves to make other people smile. most loyal and encouraging friend you’ll ever have. more charming than he realizes, a little bit himbo-ish in some things, but all around very nice boy who’s always got paint or dye under his nails. (25, he/him, lee felix, human)
