snz asks two

once again, inspired by @snotslime‘s fun snz ask meme things

🚿 - do you enjoy your friends’ sneezes or do they just not register for you (or, worse, gross you out)?

🚕 - choose a type of transportation to witness a snz on/in

🦄 - describe the sneeziest person you’ve ever met

📺 - would you prefer to see your favorite actor having a sneezing fit during an interview, or have a well-done sick episode/chapter involving your favorite character?

💦 - has someone ever accidentally sneezed on you?

🙊 - have you ever accidentally sneezed on someone else?

⏳ - what is the longest sneezing fit you’ve ever had? (in terms of number of sneezes, or duration of the fit, up to you!) what caused it?

👀  - what is the longest sneezing fit you’ve ever witnessed?

😳 - what is your cringiest sneeze related memory?

🔥 - has a person’s snz ever significantly changed your level of attraction to them? (negatively or positively)

“you sound like you’re getting a cold” voiced in the form of an outstretched glass of emergen-c and a reply of assent in the form of accepting it & taking a long sip

feeling very tender about holding an incredibly sick, cold ridden person against your chest. smooth fingers of one hand running through their hair, a tissue in the other hand ready to catch any sneezes that comes. only soft touches, gentle kisses sprinkled over the top of the sickie’s head, over their temples and cheeks. whispering sweet words of comfort against their hair every time they sneeze. hitchy stifles into the tissue that you put over their nose every time you can hear their breath change.

“I’ve got you sweetheart”

“Oh that was a big one, it sounded like it hurt. Poor thing”

“Just let them out baby, don’t worry. I’m right here”

“Oh bless you honey”

“Bless you, again? Aw baby. I’m right here. Bless you

pulling them closer, cradling them in your arms as they whimper in between sneezes, wiping their nose as they sniffle helplessly against your chest, some weak tears falling down their cheeks at the misery of their situation.

pleasure-filled moans that are deep and croaky and laden in congestion, punctuated by waterlogged sniffles, the occasional little cough, and heavy huffs of breath exhaled

their head thrown backwards, red-raw, twitchy nose pointing up as their flushed nostrils flare and quiver

in the throes of passion you reach for their hand, but alas it’s the one cradling the nest of tissues they haven’t been able to get away from all afternoon.

no matter, you reach for the other instead and continue in your ministrations.

When it comes to sick, feverish whumpees - I adore the moment when they're being ushered back to bed after having to leave it for even a short time. Whether they just had to use the bathroom, or confusedly tried to go somewhere on their own, or get some water or medicine, whatever; its the shaky walk back to their bed propped up on the caretaker's arm that gets to me. The way their sheets feel so much colder when they've been away from them, even for a little while, the way they're sweating with the effort of getting up and walking but shivering so hard their teeth chatter at the same time, how they're so dizzy by the time they finally get to lie down that their vision starts to turn black and they just have to lie completely still until they feel even remotely better....

they're curled up in the corner of the couch with their knees pulled up to their chest and a blanket tightly wrapped around them. their lap is home to a collection of used, crumpled up tissues, and next to them is a half-empty box of extra soft lotion infused tissues. you hear the buildup of another fit starting, so you slowly turn around in your desk chair and watch as the tickle in their nose takes over. their pink, raw, cracked nostrils are quivering, and they lean their head back in preparation for what's to come. a cloud of wet, snotty mist, explodes from their nose with each sneeze. they haven't been doing a very good job at containing their germs, most sneezes uncovered rather than muffled into tissues. the fit has left them with a streaming nose, snuffling repeatedly as they pluck a fresh tissue from the box. instead of blowing, they just massage their nose with the tissue, the rubbing makes a squelching sound. they dab at their leaking nostrils, and give a few liquid sniffles. they look, and sound miserable.

Someone resolving to take their partners temperature after noticing their normal upbeat attitude and playful snarkiness had been diminished and becoming more and more obviously fake throughout the day. Only, the moment their hand makes contact, their poor partner collapses into them with a desperate, wrenching sneeze directed into their shoulder, shaking weakly. They sniffle pitifully, all pretence of feigning health long gone.

"I thingk I'mb comin' down with something," they say with a shiver, hints of congestion already peeking through into their rough voice.

tonight i’m thinking about blessings in response to exhausted stifles, late at night with the lights down low, patient and calm against the frustration that it just won’t end.

pulling them close, bless you, bless you, bless you, hands warm and steady over their aching ribs, their tired lungs.

it’ll be okay. lips on their temple. it’s not going to last forever. words whispered in their hair. i’m here.

cold denial is always great but there’s something about a sickie who’s so unapologetically unwell and makes that known to everyone around them
