I am chewing this over but wanting to reexperience trauma through the veil of another medium or another person is not actually reexperiencing nor is it addressing it, let alone healing it. You can’t feel better til you face things head on and eat the shit sandwich. And it’s like. Fine to eat it slow and not take too many bites in one go. But watching others being fed a shit sandwich isn’t teaching your gut anything.

Sometimes it gets to four pm and you can just take a break to run in the rain then take a cold shower and streeeeeetch your legs then foam roll your spine and only then! Do you have to go back to work. Nice.
