Just want people to know this doesn't apply to that "Self-voluntary do you identify as having a disability" for demographics that you will see in every job application.
They cannot ask /what/ your disability is or the severity.
All companies who do any work with the federal government (and that's pretty much any big company) need to be able to prove that a percentage of their workforce has a disability -- this check mark goes to that number. Ideally it's processed separately from your application, but you have every right to feel skeptical.
Don't get sassy when you see that question. It's not illegal.
