i tripped while walking up stairs today and banged the hell out of my shins
then i got to the gym and realized the bruises were exactly at the level of the deadlift bar, where i always bring it right up against my legs to give myself a physical cue for where it is in relation to my body... so every time i prepared for a lift, i aggravated the bruises

i think the reasoning behind it was because the Avatar decided to shape them after the human Ronan, who was a friend of Ventari who helped care for the Pale Tree. The Pale Tree also created the fern hounds, so I’m assuming it can also create other creatures. This is all kind of theory though, because it is shown that there is another Tree where Malyck was born from. He is also very humanoid looking and assuming the tree sprouted on it’s own, there’s no reason why he would appear so humanoid.

bacon was half off last weekend so dad bought two pounds of it

i have learned that cooking bacon slowly over medium heat for about 10 minutes gives better results than cooking it quickly over high heat because there’s less chance of burning it and more of the fat melts out cleanly
leftover bacon fat is good for greasing pans or frying other things in... also it’s rather good for pan-fried toast, just spread a bit of it on the bread and let that sizzle until golden brown
dad however thinks microwaving bacon is easier, so now our microwave smells intensely of bacon and i don’t think we’re going to be able to get rid of that smell, everything we microwave is going to smell like bacon... i have attempted to wipe down the inside of the microwave but i don’t think i succeeded, will try detergent next because this is a serious problem, if the fat splatters start spoiling in that small closed space it will smell awful

got my norn ranger to the Cathedral of Silence coincidentally just when the event chain succeeded. bought a full set of berserker’s rubicon armor because all of it was better than what i had, and i needed the armor skins anyway. badass longcoat :D
