Sandbox Adventure - Free HTML5 Visual Novels

My Magical Divorce Bureau

Three random couples and one really weird law system.

A new visual novel on Sandbox Adventure especially for Valentine's Day!

In this magical, wonderful, and ridiculous world, all marriages are considered valid, including ones where one party was forced into it. For some reason. Because of this quirk in the law, kidnapping important people and making them marry you is a common occurrence. So much so that a special bureau was created specifically to help couples formed under such circumstances get through the paperwork needed to officially divorce. You work there! And you just can't seem to get your nose out of everyone's business. You've seen enough villains and victims come through this office to know that there is often more to the story than what's on the surface. You believe in your heart of hearts that some of these odd couples could definitely end on better terms if they simply communicated better. That is your daily quest, and today is no different. You've got three pairs scheduled to come in, and you intend to help them work through more than just an obnoxiously large amount of paperwork.

The game has 9 endings and 18,346 words.

Lucky Me, Lucky You

Okada Nanami is in a serious slump. Her super cute girlfriend just broke up with her, without any explanation, and she’s at her wit’s end trying to figure out why. In an attempt to cheer her up, her best friend Ryo invites Nanami over to his apartment to eat ice cream and watch dodgy porn. What begins as a perfectly ordinary night, however, soon takes an unexpected turn, when Nanami discovers one of the actresses is none other than Morishita Misae – a has-been pinup model, and Nanami’s first crush.

Impulsive as always, Nanami decides to go on a journey with an (unwilling) Ryo to find Misae, and confess to her her feelings – but can her dreams ever hope to live up to reality?

Warning! Even though there isn't anything explicit, the game has some sexual content and strong language.

Red String of Fate

Chose your own fate

Few understand Valerie’s determination to someday make her dream of traveling the world come true, but that’s because she has never shared the real reason. Born with the ability to see every person’s red string of fate leading them to their soulmate, Valerie is tortured by the fact that her own string is either conveniently invisible to her or so faint that it can hardly be seen, which can only mean that her soulmate is on the opposite side of the Earth. Of course, Valerie chooses to believe in the latter.

Now starting her first year in university, Valerie is struggling to balance her studies and her multiple part time jobs to save up for the money to fund her travels to search for her soulmate. Even though she has no intention to meet anyone and fall in love, it seems like fate has other plans for her -- and she might just meet someone who will make her question what she has always wanted and believed in.

The game has 4 endings and 71,944 words.

Hierofania 2

A young queen figures out what kind of ruler she will be

The Goddess of the Waves was a deity of modest powers, and an even more modest range of influence. She helped fishermen and sailors to find their way home, even through the thickest fog, through the fiercest storms. Now she is dead. There are no stories left to tell about her. Queen Stephania was a fierce woman, an unhappy woman. She rose higher than people thought she could. But her triumph had a bitter aftertaste, as it left her ruling over those she despised. Now she is dead. There are no stories left to tell about her. Queen Caramela was raised by a fierce, unhappy woman, and lived under the influence of a deity of modest powers. All she wants is to keep harmful things at a distance, to live for beauty and fun, for things to continue as they are. She won't get her wish. She lives. This is her story.

Running Blade

Do androids dream of electronic sheeps?

What if you know you have dreams every night, but you can never remember what you dreamed of when you wake up? Would that make any difference to you? For Jay-Long, being unable to remember his dreams was his greatest torment. After working for three years and four months (that means almost the entire life span of a normal android) on Mars, the android unit NeXT NGNAG17417 (also known as Jay-Long) returns to Earth in search of his maker, hoping she could put an end to his torment. Only problem is that the presence of androids on Earth is against the law, which puts Jay-Long against the android hunters, a special police unit known as the Running Blades.

This is a fan game with a story set in the universe created by Philip K. Dick (in his novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?") and revisited by Ridley Scott in his movie "Blade Runner".

The game has 4 endings and 14,562 words.

Heartbaked

A pastry-based otome game that's too sweet for you!

In a beautiful elven village hidden away in a lovely little forest, one pastry chef has just reached the last recipe in a sacred book passed down from her grandmother. Ginger has waited her entire career and quite possibly her life for this, and cannot wait to finally have created everything inside. However, the last recipe requires an ingredient that she doesn’t have in her pantry. TRUE LOVE! Ginger must go on a journey to find this true love, hopefully in one of the three admittedly quirky guys she knows. One problem though- she sucks at it. Good luck. Basically a comedy otome game poking fun at the genre set in an elven village whose economy runs entirely around pastries.

The game has 9 endings and 61,090 words.

Dejection: An Ode

An historical one-sided romance set in late 1790s England

"I could never dislike you. Not even if you were to strike me, or spit on me. I would love you all the same." Dejection deals with two young, female poets, Samantha and Lillian, as they struggle with their not-so-successful careers, writer’s block, depression, and their own friendship, which is slowly starting to fall apart. Both characters are based on real English poets who were alive in the 1790s, and the VN is reasonably accurate in following the lives of these two poets - though neither of them were cute girls in reality. If you want to know who they’re based on, you’ll have to read it for yourself (although maybe you can already guess…)

The game is kinetic and 19,630 words long.

Kindness Coins

From the perspective of the love interest in a dating sim.

Kindness Coins was made for the Pulse-Pounding, Heart-Stopping Dating Sim Jam, an event where participants created dating simulation games over the course of a weekend.

Traditionally, dating sims place the player in the role of a young person with the goal of attracting one or more romantic interests. Kindness Coins subverts this trope by placing the player in the role of the object of a typical dating sim protagonist’s desire.

The game has one ending and 1,989 words.
