sometimes i dont like talking about projects with people because theyll be like "hey why dont you monetize that?" or "hey why dont you turn that into a business?" like no man it being free to use for anybody is like half the reason why i made that thing
not everything made has to have monetary value sometimes u can just be silly for the sake of being silly or make for the sake of making let me do opensource software in peace ok thanks
I think tumblr should let us post diagrammes and graphs and tables. We can be trusted with math. I promiss.
If they give me LaTeX I will start typesetting everything in LaTeX, even my non-math posts
Please support embedded LaTeX.
If LaTeX becomes Tumblr supported Im going to just post my research in here. Double if they add python scripting support
leetcode
i dont get practicing by using leetcode over projects why cry over one small problem when you can cry over a dozen interwoven ones at the same time? i thought computer scientists liked efficiency
timing
i am only able to write code at 3 am when pointers suddenly make sense and i can move on from boilerplate
coincidentally the meds also seem to wear off around then
premature optimization
i will not prematurely optimize
i will not prematurely optimize
i will not prematurely optimize
i will not prematurely optimize
i will not prematurely optimize
i will be personally executing the next research paper author that makes a table with a font that is too small to read
people who are cloning my repo on github please give me feedback I know there’s bugs just tell me them so I can fix it I want my projects to be as painless as possible for u to use please I beg of u I just want feedback
nvim
i use nvim solely to feel cool
like look at this i know what im doing i definitely was not combing through documentation for the past hour definitely i am so good at what i do definitely mhm
plotting
plot random mundane stuff its fun
heres a plot of my mood rated 1-10 over time for the past half a year (rolling average with a window of 7 days)
always good to practice processing data and visualizing it
projects
pros of finishing project:
- finished
- learned stuff
cons of finishing project:
- finished
- need new distraction
rust
coming from a language like python to rust looks really nice because of all the fancy memory handling and error handling but then the minute i have to deal with typing with lifetimes i start sobbing violently
at the very least the compiler is nice enough to suggest solutions unless you're using an obscure crate in which case i might as well die
