Hey, I just wanted to say that the OST for OneShot is actually a godsend. You did an amazing job on it, and it's one of the few things that can keep my ADHD brain focused and ward off whatever song I have stuck in my head. It's actually like magic for me. None of the music is too intense that its distracting, and even though its not all exactly soothing it still all calms my brain, if that makes sense. I just want to say that youre a genius for making most of the music in the soundtrack. Have an absolutely fantastic day

What's your opinion on people constantly comparing Oneshot to Undertale even though Oneshot came out first?
Also what are your thoughts on Undertale/Deltarune if you've played them?
in retrospect it's pretty funny, but i remember being shoulders deep in oneshot development at the time undertale came out and i was like aAAAUGH NOW WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT (and we did)
i've played undertale by the skin of my teeth (it was hard even with tem's armor), i played deltarune combat for all of 2 minutes before it killed my wrists, i'm not really big on bullet hell games ahaha....
In terms of OneShot's story/atmosphere, what made you all decide to make it so somber? (especially in the default route) I absolutely love how well it nails that tone, Self-Contained Universe (Reprise) in particular just feeling delightfully steeped in melancholy
it wasn't so much a decision, I don't think! just something I find myself naturally gravitating towards in artwork. glad you like it though!
Will one shot ever get a update that continues the story after the solstice ending.
I don't think it would be a very good story if we did!
Though I hesitate to say "never", OneShot in some ways is a story about letting go, and the story is for all intents and purposes complete. In a pure canonical context, it wouldn't feel right to bring back Niko to the world again, somehow.
that said, i have thought many times about entirely hypothetical noncanonical AUs, as one does.
This is going to be super rambly and probably barely coherent so I apologize about that in advance. I first played One Shot a little bit after the Solstice update came out, and let me tell you, your game was everything I needed at that point in my life. I had no friends at all, and my last friendship was incredibly toxic. It was a very low point in my life and I was pretty much entirely alone and all I really wanted was a friend. Then I played One Shot, and at first the 4th wall breaks spooked me, once I got into the swing of things with Niko it was fun. Niko was the friend I needed at that time. I don’t know how you wrote them so perfectly, it boggles my mind every time I think about it. That ending broke my heart, even the solstice ending because that meant I’d never get to see or talk to Niko again even though it wasn’t real or all that dynamic. I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you for making my favorite game of all time, thank you for writing Niko the way they are. I still consider them one of my best friends, and it breaks my heart they aren’t real. I wish you the best on your future games, I will be buying, and playing all of them.

I actually updated Ark's design around 2 years ago! just some rough sketches but I guess it couldn't hurt to show it here.... he's a hacker who does computer things and plays pretty big role in the Margin game I am currently working on, but you won't see him for a while (he likes to stay out of sight)
