A drawing for @qinni, who is sadly no longer with us. I’ve followed her work since 2010 and not only enjoyed seeing her beautiful art, but also her funny and brutally honest posts about her life. I wish I had the chance to get to know her better. Rest in peace, funny, sweet, talented and beautiful Qinni.

It’s official! Netflix is producing an animated film set in the universe of The Witcher, written by “Betrayer Moon” scribe Beau DeMayo. With Studio Mir on board, there’s no doubt it’ll be gorgeous.

The rumors are true, a new Witcher story is in the works! The anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, will take us back to a new threat facing the Continent. Brought to you by the Witcher team @LHissrich and @BeauDeMayo, and Studio Mir the studio behind Legend of Korra.

Once you get this you have to say five things you like about yourself, publicly, and send it to 10 of your favorite followers SPREAD POSITIVITY! (you don't actually HAVE to if you don't want, but can if you think its fun) :)

1) I am a good home cook and pride myself on making last minute creations inspired by what I can find, as well as knowing how to make food stretch on a budget

2) not to brag but I taught myself how to nap daily for the sake of my mental and physical health so now my weird anemic body can get some semblance of rest

3) I’ve been working on protecting and nourishing my wavy hair to help reach my goal of growing rapunzel length locks. It’s normally hard for me to take care of myself due to mental illness so it’s a sign of me improving 🥰

4) I like my butt

5) I have read so much non-fiction material and watched so many science/social/culture documentaries/shows for fun, people I meet are surprised at my age and level of formal education after we talk and chat. I only learned this recently from my husband who told me how his coworkers assumed I was a 30-something college grad and not a twenty-something housewife with a high school diploma. Please don’t mistake me for an intellectual tho I just have no social life and am also a massive nerd.

I will tag ten people instead but they don’t have to do this lol

there are others but their names aren’t coming up for some reason???

THIS IS WONDERFUL! I struggle, like many, with self love/ confidence, and this is a beautiful way to help each other see the best in ourselves. So, five things I like about myself:

1. I am remarkably passionate about the things I love and enjoy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am so introspective, such a deep thinker– I would never want to be anyone else. I love my passions, interests, and the depth to which I live my life and feel my emotions.

2. My eyes! They are big and blue and I love them. I always try to highlight it in photos, and it’s one of the few physical features about myself I am consistently confident in. Especially when I wear blue, they’re pretty stunning.

3. I know a lot. It’s that simple. Especially about the things I love. People are always impressed with my ability to talk circles around others in knowledge, how I can spew up facts and information about… pretty much anything, and how educated I am about so many different topics. Truth is, I educate myself.

4. I can win just about any argument, and was born to be a lawyer. Words are my weapon, and I have a gift of articulating and natural ability to formulate a strong persuasive argument and refute others with logic and reason. I in general have a strong willed, aggressive personality, and will never let anyone walk over me.

5. I can sketch, and am super into cartography! I’m not a remarkable artist, but I enjoy it so much and like to think I have some talent for it. And I will admit I am VERY good at cartography. I can just… envision a world and zoom out and see the shape, see the nooks and crannies and landscapes and climates, and fill it in from the outside in. When the world is before me, it’s like a map to a whole history to this land of how it ended up like this, a story which I unlock to put together the pieces.

BONUS: I love that I’m an introvert,  I love that I am such a strong personality in a short body, I love that I can dance (tap, ballroom, theatrical), I love that I have pale/ porcelain skin and can rock red lipstick, and I love how I dress!

Oh wow. Okay. Now I actually have to think: what do I like about myself?

1) I really love how invested I get in fandoms - not just discussions and talking to people, but also with the lore and story and characters and all these analysis and metas and all. I may not write them down and share them much, I’m more of a listener, but I’m always analysing and connecting to these stories and it’s fascinating and sad and confusing to see that other people just don’t? Connect to stories like that? It’s simply ‘entertainment’ and an excuse to not think and I just can’t fathom it? At least I get a high out of it, so to speak 😏

2) I like how I’m a listener. It gets frustrating yes when people expect me to have some input or participate or socialise and yes I try to as well, but I just listen. Listening to people talking, discussing interesting points and all, is how I glimpse people’s thoughts and understand a bit. I never feel the need to add anything in to the conversation (and self esteem is a part of the reason too), but I feel like I understand more by listening. Plus, it’s good when people I know just need to pour their hearts and fears out and not be talked to, just needing a safe space - so I help by being that outlet too.

3) I’m creative? Imaginative? I love stories. I love webbing ideas together. And yes I get super self conscious and self esteem issues with comparisons - which I’m working on - which make me feel less and not ‘creative’ or ‘interesting’ enough, but I know by logic as a fact that I am creative and imaginative and I love creating stories, AUs, and just creating all this stuff even though they’re all mostly wips at this point and not shared with a lot of people.

4) I love how I’m a writer. I’ve been in a rut lately, issues like with the one before, but writing is an essential part of me. I am not me if I stop writing. It is a part of my identity. I may not write professionally or publish my fanfics and other stories online or even have them finished, but I’m still a writer. It’s my outlet, my passion, a part of me.

5) Um… I appreciate the fact that I’m a ‘middle person’. And by that, since I have no idea what else to call it, I mean that I tend to be in the middle or the third side of things. I’m usually not one or the other. I’m biracial, and that’s really influenced a lot of this mentality because there’s this invisible pressure to be good enough for both sides. Are you Hispanic enough despite how white you look? You don’t even eat spicy food, what kind of Mexican are you? Little cultural differences with the way you interact with family members and people outside of your family. Hugging and kissing hellos and goodbyes. The way people look at you strangely and say you don’t look or act enough like what you’re claiming. When you botch both languages at times or your accent is off and you freeze up in embarrassment because hey, you said you’re bilingual how can you not translate this well? And so on and so forth. That mentality of duality seeped in to the other aspects of my life. You’re smart so you must get good grades but slip up a bit and you’re terrible but you must also have a social life and forget school at times. You must have friends but there is a certain way to do it, you can make mistakes but make the wrong one and your life is over, yada yada yada.

Woes aside (heh, sorry about that), as much as it sucks and the bouts of anxiety it gives me, it’s also influenced the way I look at things. And so has reading and analysing all these stories. You tend to look at things from other points of view, looking at things from a new angle, push generalizations and first impressions aside until you get the fully story before formalizing opinions. It’s not something that I know a lot of people appreciate at first glance (I know of at least two instances where I’ve gotten that stern look and remarks of Disapproval™️ for it) but it’s something that I’m slowly unlearning the shame and becoming proud of. It doesn’t mean that I’m a pushover or just follow the crowd. I just take more time to solidify where I stand and when I do, I’m more sure than I was before. 🤗

Thanks so much for the tag @brushes-of-sage! :)

Man, this was hard! But here we go, five things I like about myself:

1. I’m pretty ride or die when it comes to my friends. I’m very, very protective of them.

2. I guess I can be pretty thoughtful? I like sending people cards and getting them little gifts, especially when they’re struggling.

3. I’m always trying to be a better person. Not just in terms of the way I treat people, but also in trying to minimize my impact on the environment. I’ve recently taken to picking up trash and litter whenever I take my dog for a walk.

4. I care a lot about animals. Like, a LOT. I could never be a vet because my heart just couldn’t handle it, but if I ever won the lottery I would love to buy a large plot of land and start an animal sanctuary.

5. The smallest things make me happy. A good fic, a movie or tv-show, the smell of scented candles, Christmas songs, looking out the window when I’m travelling and watching the beautiful countryside, watching my dog sleep curled up beside me, taking my dog for a long hike…there are just so many things I LOVE.

I was having a pretty crummy day earlier but writing this was a much needed reminder of self-love. Thank you for the tag @haleykim84 - this was very timely <3

1. I’m stubbornly passionate and persistent. No matter the odds, I somehow find a way to achieve my dreams and goals despite facing challenges and discouragement (that sometimes stem from those closest to me unfortunately).

2. I trust my instincts and sometimes my conclusions have been uncannily accurate. I’ve been told that I’m very insightful/a good listener by friends who come to me for advice or need someone to talk to.

3. My friendships (and all relationships in general, I guess) are intentional and deep. I’ve gradually become more discerning with who I choose to share and spend my time with and though there are only few who I consider close friends, they are all people that I’ve known/kept in contact for more than 5+ years or people that I am currently building new, meaningful friendships together with!

4.  I am naturally very loyal (almost to a fault) to my family and friends. I tend to try to consider the good/positive in people first before judging a situation too quickly or jumping to conclusions but over time that first instinct been tempered down by various things and life lessons.

5. I find enjoy finding bliss and enjoyment in the little things in life and making those little discoveries a part of my art and creative vision. There is something to be said from finding joy in realizing that sometimes the most difficult personal hardships in life are what makes you unique and special to this world.
