If there was a well written spin-off on exploring their relationship more and showing us how they were doing later on I would be so there to watch it! I hope they get to act in another series together in the future.

I want a Leofiat spinoff, but I know somehow Mame would ruin it

the thought of ja and first looking through the tharntype tag/replies on twitter and seeing nothing but bitter mewgulf stans complain about their characters and their screentime this season genuinely makes me so upset??? it’s so unfair after they put so much hard work into the show and were probably so excited for it to finally air only to have some of y’all ruin that and completely disrespect them. i just really hope they know that a lot of us did actually enjoy their storyline and think they did an amazing job. i’m fucking sick of y’all it really makes me angry to see so much ignorance and greed on twitter. it’s literally so hard for me to even enjoy the show anymore when i read all of it so i can’t imagine how it feels for jafirst. i know i already made a post about this but oh well i’m so sad for them and i feel like they deserve a lot of love so this is me putting all of that love out there in the universe for them

(lil side note: i saw a lot also complaining about their ONE SCENE in ep 11 and saying that ‘fiat has the audacity to cry in tharntypes home’ first all do y’all not have a heart he’s a traumatized kid who realized his mistakes and owned up to apologize for it so yes my heart absolutely broke for him when he got so upset and secondly y’all are fucking HYPOCRITES for saying he has the audacity to cry in their home when type literally drugged, kidnapped and terrified him to teach him a lesson. and yet y’all are mute about that? where’s the same energy? just admit you hate fiat and anyone that is not tharn or type being on screen and go x

i’m sorry i just had to write this post because i’m genuinely so frustrated. i posted screen caps on here from a teaser that the official tharntype account tweeted earlier today, and it had leofiat in it. and i’m honestly so aggravated by some (and by some i mean a lot) of mewgulf stans on twitter that are consistently complaining about the show, and more specifically about leofiat. now don’t get me wrong, i understand. i understand why some people may be frustrated about the amount of things that they didn’t hit the mark for this season, there was a lot of tharntype development that they just didn’t explore and i guess there was a lot of unnecessary filler scenes. but the amount of abuse twitter stans are sending is almost completely disrespectful to first and ja. they’re just doing their job and they’re doing a great job too. it’s really unfair that so many twitter stans do absolutely nothing else but constantly complain and insult their characters. it’s childish and just really unnecessary? i’m all for constructive criticism and i get it, not feeling happy because the show you once loved so much isn’t living up to your expectations anymore or maybe you’re not seeing your fave on screen as much as you’d like to. i agree!! i also think tharntype deserved more screen time and development! but i actually am enjoying season 2 regardless. i loved the domesticity and sweet tt scenes that we didn’t see as much of in the first season, i love the angst and i’m excited to see them get their happy ending. for me, yes season one will always be superior but some of yall seriously need to lay off and stop being so rude, not only towards first and ja, but to everyone who worked hard on that show given the circumstances of last year. i’m not saying you can’t be disappointed in it, or that you have to love it, but the online abuse is getting out of hand in my opinion. and i feel bad for jafirst, they deserve way better than the treatment they’re receiving. literally just grow up and stop acting like a dick, throwing a silly tantrum over a tv show???😭

saw this floating around so i thought i’d give my take cuz idk how well some of y’all pick up on actual scene clues and not theories. i’d argue that leofiat’s communication is mostly fine. does fiat need to learn to sort out his feelings so he can voice them properly? absolutely, but most people struggle with that. does leo need to learn to divulge some normal everyday things into conversation with fiat? absolutely, that probably could’ve calmed fiat’s nerves in the very beginning where he wasn’t speaking to him. but he’s only slightly tight lipped and it’s because his love language is acts of service, plus we see him express his opinion later and i doubt he’d have a problem fixing that. in the beginning when they have their first heart to heart, fiat literally called leo his emotional dump truck, which to me sounds like leo is the ONLY person he tells anything to. we also get that from their teammates insisting leo is the only one that can help, and he does because leo read him like a book, which to me sounds like fiat’s told him enough now to where leo just knows what’s wrong. if we’re referring to when fiat hurt his knee in the beginning and didn’t tell leo, i don’t think that had anything to do with communication and more care. fiat knew leo would come rushing back but he also knew the camp was important to him, no matter how much he hated leo being away. not to mention he would’ve come back in around two-ish weeks anyway. the only thing they didn’t talk about was the fact that they had feelings for each other which isn’t failed communication, just fear. they both had, in their minds, good reason to not tell the other person. they didn’t need the kidnapping no matter which way you cut it, a simple conversation with type would’ve sufficed. needing a push to not be a coward doesn’t equal communication issues, it just meant that there was too much at stake (their entire relationship). if we’re referring to the anger leo showed in ep 9, it was stated specifically by fiat that leo never acts like that. we also know from the conversation in ep 10 that it wasn’t out of jealousy, it was out of “i love you too much to let you make this decision”. now that they’re together, there’s literally nothing they’re hiding so the og argument is moot. it also doesn’t mean that their relationship is entirely unhealthy either. they have separation issues and fiat needs some therapy, as long as they recognize that and tend to it, their relationship would be fine.

the confession wasn’t perfect, but i don’t want to be completely negative, and just talk about the scene for what it was because i was right about all of their storyline. the abandonment issues, the jealousy of tt’s relationship, the projection of his feelings for leo onto type. that being said, you could see the turmoil in leo’s eyes from across the room as he watched type interrogate him. he looked so beyond heartbroken, guilty and devastated, as if he wanted to run over and stop it several times. and i DID like that when leo went to touch him after everything was said and done and fiat flinches, crying out for no one to hurt him, leo doesn’t touch him. he keeps his hands on the chair arms until fiat decides to touch him. i’m gunna give props to ja on that one, because i doubt that was a character direction. i also don’t think the soothing rubs were a character direction either. i also liked that it was the first time we get to see leo completely vulnerable. it really sucks that it took 10 episodes and we still don’t know his side of the story or why he fell in love with fiat, but we finally got to see him live in his emotion instead of hide it. this might surprise people but i’m glad there was no kiss. i don’t think y’all understand the severity of what happened to fiat. he was kidnapped and forced to relive his trauma (which let me tell you is NOT fun and could take weeks to recover from), and then on top of that have the person he’s been in love with since they were young confessing he feels the same. that is emotional OVERLOAD. it was nice to see leo just offering comfort instead of trying to make something romantic out of something that wasn’t. hopefully in the next two eps we get some signs of a fiat redemption and maybe some more vulnerable leo, also maybe an apology for putting fiat through that.

Frankly, I think they could have done the drama BETTER by having Leo step in when Fiat was getting upset and starting to break down.

Imagine if he’d stepped in there, grabbed Type’s shoulder and pulled him away. If he’d said he just couldn’t do this, if he’d just said ‘stop’, if he’d protected Fiat the way we know he wants to.

Just imagine the drama of that moment, of Leo stopping Type, of everything coming to this peak of knowing the pain that Fiat is in and knowing Leo stopped that.

Yes, what we got is better than the book.

THAT’S NOT SAYING MUCH.

And for all that I proclaim I love their unhealthy dynamic, which I do, an inherent part of that is Leo’s protectiveness and care of Fiat.

Please let them have some sweet moments in the last couple episodes. Please? I just want to see them in love.
