There should be more public outrage that they're bombing hospitals without any pushback btw. Like a lot more.

Just heard an interview with the director-general of Gaza's Health Ministry Dr. Munir al-Bursh in which the interviewer asked: what remains available in northern Gaza as viable options for medical centers and relief teams to intervene following Israeli strikes?

To which Dr. al-Bursh replied:

The only thing available is death. People are bleeding and dying on the streets, as is happening right now after the Indonesian hospital and Kamal Adwan hospital were both destroyed.  This morning, a woman came carrying her fetus’ head, she could not find anyone to deliver her baby. We assisted her at the entryway of the medical center. The truth is, there is nothing but death now on every street, on every corner, and in every alley. Death is the master of the situation. This is genocide. This violent bombing is intended to annihilate the Palestinian people, it is intended to annihilate the health system, it is intended to kill children. Since this morning, we have been receiving children in our arms. Our hearts are frozen, our minds are frozen as we hold these innocent children. These are executions, this is genocide. People in Gaza City have been crying out for help since last night because of a fire that has been burning their area and their children. They have been burnt to death. Last night ten of the Najjar family came to us with severe burns that exceed 60% or 70%, so death is their solution. Death is easier for them. Many wounded people are arriving to us now, and this small hall in the Jabalia Medical Center is filled with wounded people who prefer to die because there is no treatment, no medicine, no painkillers. We had four surgeries tonight, and by God, by God, there is no anesthetic medicine for them. The doctor told me either they die or I try. I told him to try without any drugs. This procedure was filmed, and the patient was screaming in agony, but what do we do? We have a choice: whether to let him die or try. What can I say? God, these scenes no one can even imagine.

I’m in the process of organizing a gofundme for a family to get out of Gaza and into Egypt. If anyone with a big following on Twitter can help me spread it there, please let me know.

I’m really, deadly serious about this. Please do contact me if you or someone you know could help. If some tumblr blogs with significant followings can volunteer to spread it when it’s ready, too, please send me a message and I’ll send you a post with the link as soon as it’s ready

Here we go. This fundraiser is for @90-ghost and I’ve had it set up on his behalf because gofundme isn’t available in Palestine. I’m collaborating with a DC-based organization to help spread this on Facebook, but it’s been put together on short notice and the reach is limited, so we need your help: the need for someone to help spread it on Twitter still stands.

In case anyone is suspicious, I hate to have to do this, but I’ve reverse-searched Ahmed’s images (featured in the gofundme), checked his posts to see that he does use authentic Palestinian Arabic to the best of my knowledge (my family is from the West Bank and I’ve been there a lot), checked the story of his sister from 2021 and found confirmation of her murder, etc. If you have questions about me, well, Ahmed will vouch for me, and you can see from looking at my blog that this is a cause that has been near and dear to me for a long time; I’m Palestinian and would sooner die than do wrong by a fellow Palestinian fleeing death itself. Please help Ahmed by donating and/or spreading far and wide!

Btw, you can show any donation you’ve made to this gofundme to me and I’ll give you a commission of equal monetary value.

That is so touching, thank you. @90-ghost look how much support you have! We’ll get your family to safety inshallah

Thank you all for your support and love 😭😭❤️

I hope gofundme not close the campaign because we are close to reach the goal.

Ahmad Abu Shamla, a Palestinian man, was killed by Israel in Rafah. He had been working for France since 2002 in the French institute.

Wanna know why he was still in Gaza? Because France refused to put his 4 oldest sons in the list of people allowed to evacuate through Rafah. Because of his job France could repatriate him and his family but they chose to put only part of the family in the list and refused to put his 4 older sons. Ahmad told the rest of his family who were on the list to leave and he stayed behind with his 4 sons and on Saturday he died because of his wounds after the house he was staying at was bombed. He was killed by Israel because France expected him to leave his sons behind.

It’s just so fucking disgusting I wanna throw up.

France 100% killed him. Who in their right mind would expect a parent to leave 4 of his children behind knowing perfectly they might not survive? They knew that by denying entry to 4 of his sons either all of the family would stay in Gaza or part of the family would stay.

It took France a whole month to evacuate them cause they were evacuated only in mid November. And while Ahmad was in Gaza, Reem, his wife who evacuated with their nieces and their 2 other sons, was fighting to get their 4 sons on the evacuation list that way Ahmad would be able to come with them.

Some representatives are sending letters to the ministry of foreign affairs telling her to evacuate Ahmad’s 4 sons so his death wouldn’t be vain. But the fact that he had to die for his story to even be public.

This man worked for France for 2 fucking decades.

France killed him.

Allah yarham shouhada.

For anyone wanting a source

In case you’re wondering how immigrant detention is going under Joe “Lesser Evil” Biden, as of Dec 14 2023:

The 7th hunger strike at Northwest Detention Center has reached Day 34, with three more people joining this week, that is at least nine people continuing to refuse meals. The people detained continue demanding accountability in their individual cases and an end to inhumane detention conditions in NWDC.

Just a reminder that Yemen has risked it ALL for Palestine, as they are going through one of the worst humanitarian crisis' ever. Due to their resilience, the puppets at the UN have decided to exclude them from the world food program. Yemen is STARVING. Please consider donating towards their hunger crisis. Let's show up for Yemen.

they really used a photo of zaid abdulnasser (communist activist and palestinian refugee) for this report on "the fight against radical islamists", all part of zionist and anticommunist propaganda equating palestinian resistance with isis etc. this is so incredibly vile

In the 1950s, a dramatic court case in Israel revealed that the Zionists had acted with criminal neglect—if not outright complicity—in the destruction of Hungarian Jewry.[39] Evidence produced at the trial showed that Rudolph Kastner, a top official in the Israeli Labor Party and the person in charge of the Rescue Committee in Hungary during the war, had actively collaborated with the Nazis. Kastner negotiated with Nazi official Adolph Eichmann (one of the architects of the Holocaust) to get approval for a “VIP train” of 1,685 Hungarian Jews to leave Hungary safely. Kastner personally selected the passengers for the train, which included several hundred people from his hometown and a dozen members of his family. He worked with SS officer Kurt Becher to make the financial arrangements. In exchange for the safe passage of the train, Kastner agreed not to warn the Jews of Hungary (whose rescue was in his hands) about Hitler’s plans for their extermination and not to take any action to protect them. Worse, he helped to deceive Hungarian Jews, convincing them that they were simply being relocated. After the war, Kastner testified at the Nuremberg trials on Becher’s behalf, which resulted in Becher, murderer of half a million Hungarian Jews, going free. Most damning of all, it became clear that Kastner had not acted alone but that his plan for the VIP train had the support of the highest leaders of the Jewish Agency. [...] The Nazis murdered the Jewish revolutionary left in Europe; they wiped out its best leaders and organizations. It was these socialists and communists who helped to organize the underground resistance to fascism in countries across Europe, who fought bravely to defend the Warsaw Ghetto against the Nazi assault. With the destruction of these fighters went the memory of what they had accomplished and stood for. It is vital to start with this fact because Zionism has profited enormously from our historical amnesia. The destruction of the strong anti-Zionist tradition among European Jews has meant that Zionism has been able to claim that it represents the unified voice of Jews throughout the world; therefore, anyone who opposes them is an antisemite. We don’t learn that, up until the Second World War, vast numbers of Jews supported the parties of revolutionary socialism—a tradition that opposed Zionism. In 1905, the anti-Zionist Bund, the revolutionary organization of Jewish workers, condemned Zionism both for its solution to antisemitism and for its colonization of Arabs. In 1910, the Jewish socialist Karl Kautsky wrote: It is labor that gives people a right to the land in which it lives, thus Judaism can advance no claim on Palestine. On the basis of the right of labor and of democratic self-determination, today Palestine does not belong to the Jews of Vienna, London, or New York, who claim it for Judaism, but to the Arabs of the same country, the great majority of the population.[41] It is not hard to see why many Jews were hostile to Zionism. Zionism called for a retreat from the struggle against antisemitism. But the socialist movement argued that the fight against antisemitism was central to the revolutionary struggle against capitalism. Thus on one side stood the revolutionaries who organized Jews and non-Jews together to fight the pogroms, lead strikes, and overthrow the tsarist regime that perpetuated Jewish oppression. On the other side stood the Zionists who collaborated with the tsar and his butchers, stood aside from the struggles for self-defense, and sabotaged work in the unions. It was the revolutionary workers’ movement—not Zionism—that offered a genuine hope for liberation for European Jews.

IDF saw civilians in civilian clothing waving white flags, and opened fire on them, then hunted the survivor down and executed them. The only reason this reached the news, however, was that it was later revealed that these civilians were, in fact, not Palestinians.

Hind is constantly tweeting about being overwhelmed and hopeless. Bisan is sharing videos of children dying--literally someone trying to give a child chest compressions before giving up, the camera lingering on the child's limp, dead body. Today, Motaz posted video of his bombed out neighborhood--footage of a hand that does not end in an arm but ends in frayed and tattered meat. His neighborhood lost 45 people, his cousin also died.

His last tweet, 16 minutes ago, is him in the rain, the caption begs for the genocide to stop. "Please god, stop this."

Things have been dire and are getting more bleak. Using these people as inspiration porn--repeated lines of "Palestinians haven't lost hope, so we shouldn't other"--grows useless as it is clear it is very hard for them to manage hope. Hind has flat out admitted to being overwhelmed and losing feeling. The dead child, whose face was drenched in blood, cannot hope. It is not their fault, it isn't a matter of them not trying enough. It is a sign of Israel's cruelty.

How bad it is gotten--how much worse it is getting as Israel faces little resistance from the international community, as lack of food and medical care and sanitation spreads disease, how much the rain and cold sucks out the capacity to do anything other than survive and stress--means we should push harder. Fueled by righteous fury at injustice and needless suffering, not human beings turned into mascots, we must push and pull things harder until the system of suffering breaks.

I don't even know what that means. Every call to action feels so pathetically weak in the wake of all of this. But we must figure out what pushing harder means and fast.

Every day spent doing nothing or the bare minimum is more lives lost, more hope lost.

Running a movement on someone else's hope--on the victimized group's hope--is cruel. It is not a failure to face fucking genocide and rain and an empty stomach and then feel hopeless.

None of these people owe the world their hope.

But we the world owe them life. Decent, good, free lives.

Even if they can't frame their suffering in a way that is encouraging for outsiders to see.

Palestine will be free. But that only happens if WE don't give up. If WE do more.

If you haven't done anything yet, start today.

If you've only done something small so far, do something bigger.

If you've done something big, do it again.

Ask someone you know if they want to do it with you.

Be fueled by anger. Indignation. Fear. Belief in a better tomorrow. Whatever you have inside you that gets you going, get going.

But it's not fair to ask for that feeling to be supplied by the people who are doing all they can just to survive.
