We need to make it socially uncomfortable to scab again.

If you know someone who should be on strike, and they're going into work, just ask them why they're a scab.

They'll no doubt give you a bullshit excuse. Whatever it is, then respond with something like, "Doesn't justify scabbing in my eyes."

No doubt they'll get defensive, at which point I think it's fine to back down if it's becoming socially uncomfortable. But you've let them know you think less of them.

Your female ancestors that nearly died from famine or child birth that were financially shackled to men they hated and had to wash clothes in a river and milk cows while pregnant watching you listen to the red scare podcast and post pro ana shit and talk about giving up your rights so you can bake banana bread and wanting to have 12 babies and live on a farm and be an illiterate barefoot housewife living on a farm

the thought process that underlines this desire to me seems to be a deep rooted belief that they are smarter than the women before them, it won’t happen to them, they’ll pick a better man, etc etc and it’s so depressing

exactly. because that’s the standard christian trad woman excuse for domestic violence and marital rape/abuse not only to justify past evils but also to justify their ideology whenever a new case presents itself. that woman was simply not godly enough to hear the holy spirit warn her from evil. if she’d been closer to god her spiritual eyes would’ve seen the evil in his heart. so it’s truly her fault for spurning christ and this is divine justice that will make that woman stronger in faith after the trial is over
