Well, I had to do with out some of what I had planned in order to finish this since my brain started fizzling out! (I haven’t had a day off since Black Friday and am pretty much burnt out… Maybe I’ll revisit it again at a later date.) I certainly had plenty of fun tackling Newt’s tats. With exception to his hands, I’m ridiculously happy with how this came out. This is sort of a scene from a fic I’m working on. Newt’s created mini-kaiju pets that wander around the lab, either helping out, or causing problems. The Knifehead doesn’t have a name yet, but he’s a coffee addict. Not sure how Hermann is going to feel about his “#1 Mathematician” mug being swiped by a mini kaiju.
And the boots, well, I had to put him in epic boots. Don’t ask why I put him in a polo shirt. I was drawing, and suddenly, Newt ended up in a polo shirt.
And yes, I’m a chubby!Newt fangirl.
It is now December! Which means Newtvember is over. SORT OF. I still have to queue up some remaining Newtvember posts, so I’ll be doing that after I get some quality sleeping time. All right, true confession time. I was not prepared for Newtvember in any way, shape or form. Because I have no control over my life, I now am trying to juggle... four or five different PacRim related things? Newtvember, @beyondthebreach, @newmannuendo, @driftandhivemind, and two Newt related ask blogs. (It’s almost like I use Newt and PacRim as a coping mechanism with real life issues, don’t ya know.) And everything just has kind of suffered. Which isn’t fair to anyone involved. Which means...
I didn’t have a giveaway planned. I knew it was going to happen, but not the fine details. I really want to give something back, because y’all are too super cute and the art and fic I’ve seen people do this month definitely deserve SOMETHING.
So, what’re we gonna do? Well, I’m going to lay some stuff down, and if it seems amenable, we’ll run with it. Given that these are all things I try and maintain on my own, I don’t feel it’s right to request other people to offer incentives for giveaways or rewards . (If you are interested in offering up something, drop me a line! I won’t say no, but I’m also not going to ask anyone directly.) What do I have up for grabs!
I realize both these things are from me, so there isn’t much to choose from if you’re chosen for the giveaway. If I can wrangle something else between now and December 1st, I’ll pop it up.
Just like last year, the giveaway is open through the end of November, and to anyone who posts something to the Newtvember tag (or puts it in the body of their post so it shows up in a search), or submits to the group here. At the moment, I’ll just be picking one winner, but if I get a few more prize selections, I’ll get another picked.
