I'm going to elaborate more. Tumblr determined an explicit rape threat against a user was not a violation of the TOS, but people get banned from this site without any post sourced as a reason. They just get nuked and have zero recourse.
The fact that the powers that be will allow violent threats but silence swaths of people for seemingly nothing should horrify everyone. They are creating (have created) immunity for some and immediate punishment for others. They are incentivizing and cheering on actual threats of violence. They will not stay threats forever. I am deadass serious when I say this is why you should be armed. If you dare to question anything, if you dare to disagree, the violence against you will be excused as normal, and no one will bother to protect you.

The logic of the anti-gunners is this: if we force more gun control on people who don’t break the law, that will make criminals suddenly stop breaking the law as well.
Here’s the thing. In America, under the Constitution, our rights are not defined by criminal conduct. A criminal with a gun is not the same thing as an armed, law abiding citizen. Therefore, create laws that go after criminal behavior and not ones that infringe on the rights of individuals who are not a threat to society in the first place.
