I honestly can't stand people who reduce Taylor's music down to "complaint about boys" or saying her songs suck. You can not like Taylor, or not like her voice, or the instrumentals of the music, but Taylor is one of the best lyrical story tellers of our generation, like at least admit that. It makes people sound dumb.
every songwriter out there writes about their love life and heartbreak but people only ever seemed to focus on taylor. i always remember that taylor quote, “if guys don’t want me writing bad songs about them then they shouldn’t do bad things”.
and then look at taylor lautner, he was amazing to taylor yet she broke his heart and she wrote an entire song apologising to him.
whether people love or hate taylor there’s no denying she’s one of the most talented songwriters there is. everyone who has worked with her says so and how they’re so impressed by how fast she writes and comes up with ideas.
those who think she isn’t talented, okay let’s see them write a 10 minute song 😂
