#yknow it doesnt really really matter how old i get#bc i remember when tiana happened (a big deal for kid me) and when home (the true meaning of smekday) happened (also a Big Deal for me)#like growing up (and being really into animation) i always made note of the black side characters#like the jamie's black friends in rotg (and how cool their hair looked)#or iridesa in the tink movies (which i never really watched but appreciated)#or the main black girl in polar express (big deal for me)#bc it was just Understood that animated motion pictures woulf either 1) not have black characters or 2) they wouldn't be the focus#you had black animated tv shows (and even the ones where they were the majority cast were still in the minority yknow)#so like. seeing the increase of black animated characters in major motion pictures? im not gonna get over that ever#like having this movie have not just one black character but like SIX with varying amounts of plot significance is Insane to me#like show me this gifset ten years ago and man. id be So excited to grow up and see it for myself#also. peter ramsey is my hero#across the spiderverse#into the spiderverse#spiderman

"This new deletion policy is terrible for preservation of archival media" that's the point, bro. That's explicitly the point, though they'll never admit it. Major social media platforms straight up do not want archival media to be a thing – it disrupts their business model by existing, and it's hard to monetise. In their perfect world, media more than 90 days old would vanish in a puff of smoke and be irrecoverably forgotten.
